MCPD Arrest Report 07/19/2016
Christian A Garrett, 29 years of age, Address: Canary St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/18/2016 @ 7:05am.
Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery
Disturbing the Peace (Intoxicated)
Officers responded to the area of La 70 near Veteran's Blvd. in regard to a reported fight between a male and female subject. As the officers arrived, one of the officers observed a male subject committing a battery on the female. The officers spoke with both subjects involved, one identified as Christian A Garrett and the female who showed signs of a battery. Reports indicate that during an investigation, the officers uncovered evidence of a battery to the female which was allegedly committed by Garret. Garrett was also suspected to have been drinking an appeared to be intoxicated. Garrett was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Hunter J Rhodes, 18 years of age, Address: Saturn Rd. Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 07/18/2016 @ 4:38pm.
Charge: Illegal Carrying of a Weapon
Officers responded to City Hall on Second Street near Everett Street in regard to a subject carrying a weapon during a peace rally gathering. The officers arrived and located Hunter J Rhodes who matched the description of the subject provided. Rhodes was detained and searched when according to reports officers located a concealed handgun which Rhodes did not have a proper permit to carry. Rhodes was escorted away from the gathering, arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
