Thomas Steely Jr., 40 years of age, Address: Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/20/2016 @ 1:51pm.
Charge: Warrant - Illegal Possession of Stolen Property
Thomas Steely Jr. was located by officers at an address on Hwy 182 where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Detectives of an incident where Steely was allegedly found to be in possession of stolen property. Steely was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Raymond P Johnson, 42 years of age, Address: Shrimpers Bow Houma, La. was arrested on 07/20/2016 @ 3:48pm.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
A patrolling officers observed a vehicle traveling on Hwy 182 near Cottonwood St. with what appeared to be painted lenses which prevented the tail lights from illuminating. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver issued a citation for the traffic offense. During the traffic investigation, reports indicate that a passenger inside the vehicle was observed discarding an object from the vehicle. The officer identified the passenger as Raymond P Johnson who at first gave the officer a false name. Johnson's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. According to reports, a search was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Johnson. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
