The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 01/04/2017
Jerome Guidry, 38 years of age, Address: Pluto St. Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 01/04/2017 @ 10:40am.
Charge: Unauthorized Use of Access Cards
Jerome Guidry was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Detectives of an incident reported on October 18, 2016 of alleged unauthorized use of access cards. Guidry was booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. The investigation continues.
Angela Campbell, 53 years of age, Address: Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/04/2017 @ 11:18am.
Charges: Theft by Shoplifting
Simple Battery
Officers responded to a local grocery store on Brashear Avenue in regard to a report of a shoplifter. The officers arrived and spoke with the store management who directed officers to a female still on scene identified as Angela Campbell. Campbell was detained for further investigation. During the investigation, officers were told that Campbell was observed taking items from the store and attempting to flee when Campbell committed a battery on an employee that confronted Campbell about the alleged theft according to reports. The items valued at $27.95 were recovered and returned to the store. Campbell was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Christober C Adams, 42 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/04/2017 @ 2:53pm.
Charge: Warrant - Failure to Appear for Drug Court Proceedings
Christopher Adams was located by officers on Eighth Street near Duke Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial District Court. Adams was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Clarence Junifer, 56 years of age, Address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/04/2017 @ 4:16pm.
Charge: Warrant - Probation Violation
Clarence Junifer was arrested in the Morgan City Court in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Junifer was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Kristi K Adams, 37 years of age, Address: John St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 01/04/2017 @ 8:06pm.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Marguerite Street near Sixth Street with improper brake lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Kristi K Adams. During a traffic investigation, Adams behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that she may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana, soma and drug paraphernalia. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Adams was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
