MCPD Arrest Report 01/09/2017

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 01/06/2017:

Samantha R. Jones, 32 years of age, Address-Seventh St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 01/06/2017 @ 7:00 am.

Charge: Simple Battery

Samantha Jones, an inmate in the Morgan City Jail, committed a battery on another inmate, Jones was charged and continues to be incarcerated.

Anthony A. Singleton, 40 years of age, Address- St. Louis St. Raceland, La. was arrested on 01/07/2017 @ 9:34 pm.

Charge: No Turn Signal
Driving Under Suspension

A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Myrtle St., observed a vehicle turn on to Myrtle St. without using its turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Anthony Singleton was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Singleton's driver's license was under suspension. Singleton was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration

Chaz M. Rebardi, 22 years of age, Address- Mill Rd. Patterson, La. was arrested on 01/08/2017 @ 1:18 am.

Charge: Hit and Run
Disturbing the Peace- Use of Offensive Language

A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Levee Rd., observed a vehicle traveling on Levee Rd. without any headlights. The officer attempted to do a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued traveling on Levee Rd. The officer located the vehicle a short time later, however the driver had fled. During the course of the investigation, the driver was identified as Chaz Rebardi. Reports indicate that Rebardi had also struck a vehicle while fleeing from the officer. Officers were able to locate Rebardi on Front St. While talking to officers, Rebardi became loud and using profanities while several individuals were in the area. Rebardi was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
