MCPD Arrest Report 02/06/2017

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 02/02/2017.

Eric C Davis, 54 years of age, Address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/02/2017 @ 8:59pm.

Charge:  Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     An officer responded the 1,000 block of Federal Avenue in regard to a report of a subject laying in the middle of the roadway. The officer arrived and located a subject who matched the description provided identified as Eric C Davis.  The officer spoke with Davis who according to reports told the officer he had too much to drink. Reports indicate that the officer suspected Davis of drinking and that he appeared to be intoxicated. Davis was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jamone D Jones, 25 years of age, Address: Hobson St. Houma, La. was arrested on 02/02/2017 @ 10:12pm.

Charges:  Improper Lane Usage
                  Driving Under Suspension
                  Possession of Marijuana

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Hwy 182 near Seventh Street traveling out of its designated lane of travel.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Jamone D Jones.  During a traffic investigation, reports indicated that Jones' behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that Jones may be involved in illegal drug activity.  A search was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana. A driver license and warrants check was conducted when it was learned that Jones and a suspended drivers license and that Jones had an active arrest warrant held by the LaFourche Parish Sheriff's Office.  Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Summer Billiot 02032017Summer Billiot, 31 years of age, Address: Southeast Blvd. Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 02/03/2017 @ 12:46pm. 

Charges:
  Warrant - Failure to Appear on 10/20/2016 for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
                  Warrant - Aggravated Battery
                  Unauthorized Use of an Access Card

     Summer Billiot was located by Morgan City Police Detectives at a residence on Mallard Street where she was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court and the Morgan City Police Department. Investigators had also developed Billiot as a suspect in an incident reported on January 28, 2017 of alleged unauthorized use of an access card. During interviews, reports indicated that investigators uncovered evidence of Billiot's  involvement where she used a stolen access card to make purchases at a local business in Morgan City. Billiot was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Robert L Lyles 02032017Robert L Lyles, 61 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/03/2017 @ 5:14pm. 

Warrant
 -  Theft by Shoplifting

     Robert L Lyles was transported from the Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department.  The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police  Detectives of an incident reported on January 23, 2017 of an alleged theft by shoplifting valued at $83.40 from a local supermarket. Lyles was booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated

Gaspar Jimenez Aguilar, 26 years of age, Address: Calhoun St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/03/2017 @ 6:00pm.

Charge:  No Drivers License

     An officer observed a vehicle disregard a traffic signal near the intersection of Hwy 182 and Ditch Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Gaspar Jimenez Aguilar. A driver license check revealed that Jimenez Aguilar did not have a valid driver license according to reports. Jimenez Aguilar was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Miguel O Batueca Zaldivar
Miguel O Batueca Zaldivar, 27 years of age, Address: Wyoming St. Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 02/04/2017 @ 12:02pm.

Charges:  Speeding 51/35
                  No Vehicle Insurance
                  Driving Under Suspension
                  Possession of Cocaine

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Hwy 182 near Eleventh Street traveling a rate of speed which appeared to be higher than the posted speed limit and clocked the vehicle at 51mph in a 35mph speed zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Miguel O Batueca Zaldivar.  During a traffic investigation, reports indicate it was learned that Batueca Zaldivar had a suspended driver license and that the vehicle did not have state required insurance. Batueca Zaldivar was placed under arrest and a search of his person conducted when the officer located suspected cocaine. Batueca Zaldivar was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joseph L Estay III, 46 years of age, Address: Aucoin St. Morgan City, La. was arrrested on 02/04/2017 @ 2:00pm.

Charges:  Hit and Run
                  Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                  Expired MVI Sticker

     Officers responded to the area of Hwy 182 near the Greenwood overpass in regard to a vehicle accident and that one of the vehicle invovled had fled the area. A description of the vehicle was provided when officers located a vehicle matching the description on Hwy 182 near Seventh Street moments later. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Joseph L Estay III.  During an investigation, reports indicated that the officers uncovered evidence of Estay's involvement in the hit and run crash and that the vehicle had an expired motor vehicle inspection sticker. Estay III was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jose D Gomez Morales, 37 years of age, Address: North Canal Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/04/2017 @ 4:17pm.

Charges:  Speeding 48/35
                  Driving Under Suspension

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling which appeared to be speeding on Hwy 182 near Eleventh Street when the office clocked that vehicle at 48mph in a 35mph speed zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Jose D Gomez Morales.  A drivers license checked was conducted and revealed that Gomez Morales had a suspended drivers license according to reports. Gomez Morales was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jose Hernandez-Reyes, 50 years of age, Address: Mayon St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/04/2017 @ 9:00pm.

Charges:  Warrant - Hit and Run Driving
                  Warrant - Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

     Jose Hernandez-Reyes was located by officers at a residence on Mayon Street where he was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident on December 15, 2016 of alleged carless operation involving a hit and run.  Hernandez-Reyes was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Zachary M Crappell, 23 years of age, Address: North First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/04/2017 @ 10:53pm.

Charges:  Improper Tail Lighting
                  Possession of Marijuana

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Sixth Street near Levee Road with improper tail lights. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Zachary M Crappell.  During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that Crappell's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity.  A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana.  Crappell was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Luis Frank Perez-Rivera II, 19 years of age, Address: Karen Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/05/2017 @ 1:40am.

Charges:  Possession of Marijuana
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle parked behind a closed business on Hwy 182. An investigation stop was conducted when the officer identified Luis F Perez-Rivera II as the occupant of the vehicle. Reports indicated that Perez-Rivera's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity.  A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia according to reports. Perez-Rivera II was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Darius Brown, 38 years of age, Address: Clements St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 02/05/2017 @ 11:14am.

Charge: Entering or Remaining in Places After Forbidden

     Officers responded to a local medical facility on Hwy 70 in regard to removing a subject.  The officers arrived when they located the subject in question identified as Darius Brown. Officer were told by medical staff that Brown was causing a disturbance and was instructed to leave the facility.  Officers then instructed Brown the leave the facility when he refused to do so according to reports. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Chaz M Rebardi 02052017
Chaz M Rebardi, 22 years of age, Address: Mill Rd. Patterson, La. was arrested on 02/05/2017 @ 7:47pm.

Charges:  Aggravated Flight From an Officer
                  Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway
                  Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

     The Morgan City Police Department was contact by the Berwick Police Department in regard to the driver of a vehicle being involved in domestic disturbance and a hit and run crash . An officer observed a vehicle matching the description traveling in the area of Brashear Avenue and Sixth Street. Reports indicate that the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the vehicle refused to stop and began to flee from the officer. A vehicle pursue ensued when the officer followed the vehicle through several city street where the vehicle showed no regard for stop signs or traffic signals. The pursue continued on Hwy 182 reaching speeds in access of 100mph out of the city limits and into Amelia striking two vehicles.  The purse continued east on Hwy 182 when the vehicle got onto U.S. 90 continuing traveling east at speeds in access of 100mph. The vehicle was later stopped with the assistance of the Louisiana State Police in the area of U.S. 90 near Hwy 311.  The driver of the vehicle identified as Chaz M Rebardi was taken into custody and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
