Arrest Report 01/27/2014

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 01/24/2014:

Raven T. Mayon, 17 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/24/2013 @ 3:30pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Paraphernalia; 2nd Degree Battery; Illegal Possession of Stolen Things

Kelton J. Smith, 17 years of age, Address-Murial St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/24/2014

Charge: Illegal Possession of Stolen Things; 2nd Degree Battery

    Officers of the Morgan City Police Department responded to a complaint of a subject receiving a battery.   Upon investigation, it was learned that the victim was beaten by other subjects at a residence the previous night.  During the investigaion, the victim, who required medical treatment provided investigators with the location of the incident on Highway 182.  Detectives and officers proceeded to the location and located the two suspects, Kelton Smith and Raven Mayon.  During the investigation, investigators uncovered items which had been reported stolen in a burglary of a business which had previously been reported to the Morgan City Police Department.  After securing a search warrant, several items were recovered which were reported stolen in that burglary.  Both subjects were arrested.  Raven Mayon was also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for the City Court of Morgan City.  Both subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and remain incarcerated. The burglaries remain under investigation and additional charges may follow.

 

Calie E. Anslem, 23 years of age, Address-Cottonwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/25/2014 @ 5:30pm

Charge: Possession of Contraband in a Penal Institution

     Calie Anslem, who is presently incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility was arrested and charged after correctional officer located contraband in her possession while in the jail lockup section.  Anslem was found to possess a cigarette lighter which was seized.  She was booked and incarcerated. 

 

James M. Murray, 26 years of age, Address-Arkansas St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/25/2014 @ 5:36pm

Charge: Simple Battery

     James Murray, who is presently incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail was arrested and charged with Simple Battery after he allegedly struck another inmate.  He was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Michael Fonseca, 23 years of age, Address-Grandwood Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 01/25/2014

Charge: Entry where Forbidden

      Morgan City officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a Highway 182 lounge.  Two subjects, one identified as Michael Fonseca were removed from the lounge by officers.  A short time later, Fonseca returned to the lounge after being forbid and was detained by security.  Fonseca was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Samual J. Armond, 59 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2014 @ 3:29am

Charge: Aggravated Second Degree Battery

Donna S. Armond, 51 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2014 @ 3:29am

Charge: Second Degree Battery

     Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a Glenwood Street address.  When officers arrived, they encountered a domestic disturbance.  Upon investigating, it was learned that Donna Armond and Samuel Armond had been involved in an arguement and during the altercation, Donna reportedly struck Samuel several times at which time Samuel responded by arming himself with a knife and reportedly cut Donna Armond on the hand.  Both subjects were transported to Teche for medical treatment.  After their release, they were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where both were incarcerated.

 

Quintal T. Davis, 33 years of age, Address-Ninth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2014 @ 8:32pm

Charge: Possession of Contraband in a Jail Facility

   

     Quintal Davis, who is incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility was arrested after he was found to possess an item of contraband, a lighter while house in the city jail facility.  He was charged and remains incarcerated.  

 

Eldrige L. Jones, 54 years of age, Address-Joan Dr. Franklin, La. was arrested on 01/26/2014 @ 8:47am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fee-2 Counts; Warrant: Simple Battery;Warrant: Probation Violation

 

     Eldridge L. Jones was located at the parish correctional facility and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated on oustanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. He was booked and remains incarcerated. 

 

     Ruben Bias, 59 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2014 @ 7:30pm

Charge: Warrant: Lafayette Parish-Theft under $500.00, Resisting an Officer

     Ruben Bias turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department on oustanding warrants for Lafayette Parish authorities.  He was booked andincarcerated.
