MCPD Arrest Report 02/20/2017
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 02/17/2017.
Demarcus Roy, 24 years of age, Address: Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/17/2017 @ 6:25pm.
Charges: Criminal Trespassing
Officers responded to a residence on Mallard Street in Brownell Homes in regard to a subject trespassing on Housing Authority Property. The officers arrived and located Demarcus Roy inside the residence. During an investigation, reports indicated it was confirmed that Roy was previously barred from Morgan City Housing Authority Property. Roy was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Lynn P Guidry Jr., 27 years of age, Address: Fern St. Thibodeaux, La. was arrested on 02/18/2017 @ 4:00am.
Charges: Possession of a Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Tyler M Kapp, 25 years of age, Address: Crenshaw St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 02/18/2017 @ 4:00am.

Driving Under Suspension
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Brashear Avenue near Fifth Street traveling out of its designated lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the occupants of the vehicle identified as Tyler Kapp (driver) and Lynn P Guidry Jr. (passenger). During a traffic investigation, reports indicated it was learned that Kapp had a suspended drivers license. Kapp and Guidry Jr's behavior aroused that officer's suspicions that they may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of Kapp's persons was conducted when the officer located suspected drug paraphernalia. During a search of the vehicle, the officer located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia where Guidry Jr. was seated. Both Kapp and Guidry were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Deacon W Goodwin II, 20 years of age, Address: South Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/18/2017 @ 10:00am.
Charges: Warrant - Possession of Stolen Things
Deacon W Goodwin II was located by officers at a residence on South Railroad Avenue where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. Goodwin was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Bryan K Wright, 42 years of age, Address: Ponderosa St. Gray, La. was arrested on 02/18/2017 @ 8:51pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace
Officers responded to the area of General Patton Street near Chester Bowles Street in regard to a reported disturbance. The officers arrived when they located a subject in the middle of the roadway with no shirt and acting in an aggressive manner identified as Bryan K Wright according to reports. Officers spoke with several witnesses to the incident who told officers that Wright was observed pacing in the middle of the roadway blocking traffic. A male subject driving a vehicle confronted Wright about blocking the roadway when Wright took off his shirt wanting to fight the motorist according to reports. Wright was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Georgia H Johnson, 44 years of age, Address: Hwy 75 Plaquemine, La. was arrested on 02/18/2017 @ 9:00pm.
Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Georgia H Johnson was identified as the passenger of a vehicle during a traffic stop on Victor II Blvd.. Johnson's behavior aroused the officers suspicions that she may e involved in illegal drug activity. A search was conducted when the officer located suspected drug paraphernalia on Johnson according to reports. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Christopher Sylvester, 20 years of age, Address: Short St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/18/2017 @ 10:24pm.
Charge: Entering or Remaining in Places After Being Forbidden
Officers responded to a residence on Birch Street in regard to removing a subject from the residence. The officers arrived when they spoke to the complainant who was identified as the owner of the residence. The complainant told officers that Christopher Sylvester was at the residence causing a disturbance and that they wanted him removed. Reports indicate that the officers instructed Sylvester that he was have the leave the residence which he refused to do so. Sylvester was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Caleb P Darden, 19 years of age, Address: Progresso Rd. Patterson, La. was arrested on 02/19/2017 @ 5:26pm.
Charges: Possession of Schedule I CDS (Synthetic Marijuana)

An officers responded to a residence on Laurel Street in regard to a suspicious vehicle parked in the complainants driveway. The officer arrived at the residence and located a vehicle matching the description in the driveway occupied by a subject identified as Caleb P Darden. Darden's behavior aroused the officers suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Darden was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Leonard A Yarborough, 55 years of age, Address: Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/19/2017 @ 6:00pm.
Charge: Theft by Shoplifting
An officers responded to a local business on Hwy 182 in regard to a call of a shoplifter. The officer arrived and spoke with the business manager who told the officer that there was a subject inside the store that was suspected of taking items from the business and concealing them on his person. The officer located the subject in question identified as Leonard A Yarborough. During an investigation, reports indicate that a search was conducted when the officer located the alleged stolen items on Yarborough. Evidence of the alleged theft was uncovered by the officer. Yarborough was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Warrant - Failure to Appear on 05/10/2016 for Possession of Marijuana
Officers responded to Mallard Street in Brownell Homes in regard to a reported disturbance. Officers arrived when they observed a subject known to officers as Dequante Wesley who appeared to be involved in the alleged disturbance. Reports indicate that Wesley was known by the officers to be barred from all Morgan City Housing Authority property and that Wesley also had an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. As the officer approached, Wesley attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by the officer. Reports indicated that Wesley began to fight with the officer as the officer attempted to place him into cuffs when Wesley allegedly committed a battery on the officer. A struggle then ensued when the officer was able to place Wesley into handcuffs moments later. Wesley was transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking where Wesley the officer located suspected cocaine which was believed to be packed for distribution along with suspected MDMA (ecstasy). The location of Wesley's arrested was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Wesley was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Stephanie M Harvey, 38 years of age, Address: Cane St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/20/2017 @ 4:53am.
Charge: Warrant - Unauthorized Use of an Access Card
Stephanie M Harvey was located by officers on Federal Avenue near Egle Street where she was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on January 24, 2017 of alleged unauthorized use of an access card. Harvey was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
