MCPD Arrest Report 02/23/2017
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 02/22/2017.
Dasny C Bardales, 18 years of age, Address: Degravelle Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2017 @ 1:39pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
Siria Martinez-Gutierrez, 17 years of age, Address: Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 1:49pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
An officer responded to an educational facility on Hickory Street in regard to a reported fight. The officer arrived and spoke with management who told officer that Dasny C Bardales and Siria Martinez-Gutierrez were involved in a physical altercation while on the facility. During an investigation, evidence of the alleged altercation was uncovered by the officer. Both Baradales and Martinez-Gutierrez who were present were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Gregory Johnson Jr. 32 years of age, Address: Robin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2017 @ 6:16pm.
Charge: Warrant - Failure to Appear on 01/10/2017 for Driving Under Suspension
Gregory Johnson was located by officers on Federal Avenue where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Johnson was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Jody R Cubbedge, 58 years of age, Address: Seventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2017 @ 7:11pm.

Jody R Cubbedge was located by officers at a residence on Third Street where he was arrested on several active arrest warrants held by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. Cubbedge was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Markell Davis, 18 years of age, Address: Hickory St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2017 @ 10:02pm.

Malcomb Williams III, 17 years of age, Address: Broussard St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 02/22/2017 @ 10:02pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana
Morgan City Police Narcotics Investigators observed a vehicle make an improper turn at the intersection of Sixth Street and Marguerite Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the occupants of the vehicle identified as Markell Davis (driver) and Malcomb Williams III (passenger). A drivers license check was conducted which revealed that Davis did not have valid driver license. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that Davis and Williams III behavior aroused the investigators suspicions that they may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana. Both Davis and Williams III were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Javien J Francis, 29 years of age, Address: Oregon St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 02/22/2017 @ 10:32pm.

Carlven Chapman, 40 years of age, Address: Louisiana St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2017 @ 11:30pm.

No Tail Lights
Flight From An Officer
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Hwy 182 near Eleventh Street without any tail lights. The officers attempted to conducted a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to pull over. The officer chased the vehicle for several city blocks when the vehicle stopped in front of a residence on Ditch Avenue and the passenger of the vehicle later identified as Javien J Francis exited and fled on foot. A foot chase ensued by assisting officers when Francis was apprehended moments later. A search was conducted when officers located suspected alprazolam and drug paraphernalia on Francis. A warrants check also revealed that Francis had several active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Carlven Chapman who was also arrested. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana. Both Chapman and Francis were transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Patrick L Augman, 43 years of age, Address: Spurgeon Rd. Monroe, La. was arrested on 02/23/2017 @ 2:48am.
Charges: Improper Use of Bright Lights
Driving Under Suspension
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Hwy 182 traveling with the bright lights activated into oncoming traffic. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Patrick L Augman. A drivers license check was conducted which revealed that Augman had a suspended drivers license. Augman was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
