Arrest Report 01/30/2014

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 01/29/2014:

Devan N. Serpa, 28 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/29/2014 @ 5:35pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Resisting an Officer; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Disturbing the Peace

     Devan Serpa was located at a Glenwood St. residence and placed under arrest for outstanding warrants from the Morgan City Police Department.  She was transported to the Morgan City Jail Facility where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Mashane K. Charles, 24 years of age, Address-Leona St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/29/2014 @ 8:32pm

Charge: Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; Child Restraint

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Brashear Avenue regarding a complaint of a subject traveling in a vehicle with a child passenger not properly restrained. Officers located the vehicle and the driver, Mashane Charles who was advised of the complaint.  Charles was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  The child, which was not properly restrained was released to family members. 

 

Carl J. Thibodeaux, 26 years of age, Address-Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/29/2014 @ 6:59pm

Charge: Fugitive Warrant: Montgomery County Sheriffs Department, Texas-Theft,Possession of Marijuana; Illegal Carrying of a Weapon

     Detectives of the Morgan City Police Department received information that a wanted fugitive from Montgomery County Texas was residing at a Highway 182 residence.  Detectives secured a search warrant for the subjects residence.  He was located at the residence and placed under arrest on the outstanding warrant.  He was incarcerated into the Morgan City Jail facility awaiting extradition to Texas.
