MCPD Arrest Report 04/17/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 96-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 114 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 04/13/2017:

Cade Ordoyne, 18 years of age, address: Brier St. Schriever, La, arrested on 04/13/2017 @ 9:45 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: No Driver’s License
                 Warrant: Resisting an Officer

Cade Ordoyne was located and arrested at the Terrebonne Parish Detention Center on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation from September of 2016 in which Ordoyne was observed by patrol officers driving a vehicle and was known to have active warrants for his arrest. Upon initiating a stop Ordoyne fled on foot from officers. It was also learned that Ordoyne did not have a valid driver’s license. Ordoyne was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Shanita Evans, 38 years of age, address: Oak St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/13/2017 @ 8:19 p.m.
Charges: Theft of Goods
                 Possession of SCH I CDS (MDMA)
                 Possession of SCH IV CDS (Tramadol)
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)
                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 03/20/2017

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 70 in regards to an alleged shoplifter. Upon arrival the suspect had already left the business walking. Shanita Evans was located in the area moments later and according to reports was found to be in possession of the stolen merchandise that was reported. Evans was also found to be in possession of suspected MDMA and Tramadol. The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug Free Zone. Evans was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail. Upon arriving to the jail a warrants was located for Evans through the 16th Judicial Court. Evans was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Ronnie Hatcher, 17 years of age, address: Apple St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/14/2017 @ 03:07 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Battery

Ronnie Hatcher was located in the area of Sixth St. and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation from January of 2017 when officers responded to a large disturbance in the area of Barrow St. Officers arrived and according to reports the victim was attacked by several subjects. One of the subjects was identified by the victim as Ronnie Hatcher who had already left the area. A warrant was prepared for Hatcher’s arrest. Hatcher was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Keirra A. Paddio, 18 years of age, address: Freret St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/14/2017 @ 11:21 a.m.

Charges: Criminal Damage to Property

Patrol officers responded to the area of Freret St. in regards to a damage to property complaint. Officers arrived and according to reports the victim alleged that Keirra Paddio had went to the residence and broke and window and a door frame. Paddio was located a short time later in the area and according to reports admitted to the damaged that was caused. Paddio was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Seth Martin, 25 years of age, address: Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/14/2017 @ 11:13 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH I CDS (Synthetic Cannabinoids)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)
                 Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to the area of Levee Rd. in regards to a subject who appeared to be in an intoxicated state. Officers arrived and obtained a description of the subject. Seth Martin was located in the area an according to reports Martin was laying over a garbage sleeping. Officers awoke Martin and upon speaking with him, Martin was observed to be in an intoxicated state. According to reports when asked Martin was asked about his intoxicated state he admitted that he was under the influence to Synthetic Cannabinoids and had some in his possession. The suspected Synthetic Cannabinoids was located in Martin’s person along with items of drug paraphernalia. The area where this incident took place was within a Drug Free Zone. Martin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Sidney Borque Jr., 61 years of age, address: Vivian St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/14/2017 @ 12:43 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to pay Fine on 03/14/2017

Sidney Borque Jr. was located in the area of Victor II Blvd and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Borque was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Ethlin J. A. Simmons, 34 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/14/2017 @ 5:41 p.m.

Charges: Hit and Run
                 Use of a Telecommunication Device

Patrol officers were flagged down in the area of North Everett St. in regards to a crash that had just occurred and one of the vehicles left the area. Ethlin J. A. Simmons was identified as a suspect and located a short time later. According to report Simmons admitted to striking the vehicle which was caused because she was texting on her phone while driving. After the crash she left the area. Simmons was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Ernest S. Oneal, 35 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/14/2017 @ 11:36 p.m.

Charges: Theft under $750.00

Patrol officers responded to the area of Railroad Ave. in regards to a complaint of a disturbance. Ernest S. Oneal was identified as one of the subjects involved in the disturbance. Oneal was advised to leave the area at which time a cab transported him. Officers were in the area of Brashear Ave. where Oneal was dropped off and according to reports Oneal was observed exiting the cab abruptly and attempt to leave the area. It was learned that Oneal failed to pay his cab fare. Oneal was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Nathaniel Rollins, 21 years of age, address: Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/16/2017 @ 1:07 a.m.

Charges: No Drivers License

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated by Nathaniel Rollins and had knowledge that he did not hold a valid driver’s license. A stop was initiated in the area of LA 182 and according to reports Rollins made maneuvers through a parking lot in what appeared to be an attempt to evade the stop. Rollins stopped shortly after and he admitted that he was attempting to get away because he did not have a driver’s license. Rollins was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Scott J. Comeaux Sr., 38 years of age, address: Levee Rd. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/16/2017 @ 2:28 a.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                 Driving under Suspension
                 Open Container in a vehicle

Patrol officers were in the area of LA 70 when a loud crash was heard. Officers patrolled the area and located a vehicle that had struck a utility pole attempting to leave. A stop was initiated on the vehicle at which time Scott J. Comeaux Sr. was identified as the driver.Upon making contact officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted in which Comeaux performed poorly. Comeaux was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test. Comeaux submitted to test which yielded a result of .231g% BAC. Comeaux was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Deonte D. Harris, 19 years of age, address: Lake Palourde Rd. Amelia, La, arrested on 04/16/2017 @ 10:45 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 No Drivers License
                 No Seat Belt

Patrol officers initiated a stop on a vehicle in the area of LA 182 due to a restraint violation. Deonte D. Harris was identified as the driver and officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Harris was advised of the odor and according to reports admitted that there was marijuana in the vehicle. Located in the vehicle was the suspected marijuana along with drug paraphernalia. It was also learned that Harris did not have a valid driver’s license. Harris was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Mandi Hatfield, 29 years of age, address: Florence St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/16/2017 @ 3:30 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated by a female known as Mandi Hatfield. The officer had knowledge that Hatfield license was under suspension. After confirmation a stop was initiated on the vehicle in the area of Cottonwood St. Hatfield was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Tonnia E. Wade, 43 years of age, address: Limoges St. Duson, La, arrested on 04/16/2017 @ 7:13 p.m.

Charges:
Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Speeding
                 No Drivers License

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of Railroad Avenue traveling at a speed much higher than the 35 M.P.H. maximum speed limit. A stop was initiated and Tonnia Wade was identified as the driver of the vehicle. According to reports officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Wade’s person. Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted at which time Wade performed poorly. Wade was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test. Upon arrival Wade refused to submit to test. It was also learned that Wade did not have a valid driver’s license. Wade was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Ronald R. Poret, 58 years of age, address: LA Ave. Lafayette, La, arrested don 04/16/2017 @ 7:17 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Violation of a Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in which Ronald R. Poret was identified as a passenger. According to reports during the investigation officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Poret was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. The area where the incident took place was within a Drug Free Zone. Poret was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Sebastian Sustaita, 36 years of age, address: Sydney Jo Ln. Berwick, La, arrested on 04/16/2017 @ 7:46 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Careless operation of a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. A description of the vehicle was obtained and reports indicated that the vehicle had struck the side of the bridge and stopped in the area of MLK Blvd. Officers located the vehicle and contact was made with the driver identified as Sebastian Sustaita. According to reports the officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Sustaita’s breath. Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted which Sustaita performed poorly. Sustaita was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test. Upon arriving to the jail Sustaita refused to submit to test. Sustaita was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Jeremy P. Spears, 31 years of age, address: Dublin Circle Lafayette, La, arrested on 04/17/2017 @ 8:47 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)
 

Heather R. Ganaway, 30 years of age, address: Jupiter St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/16/2017 @ 9:27 p.m.

Charges: Failure to signal 100 ft prior to an intersection
                 No Insurance
                 No Registration
                 No Drivers License
                 Resisting an Officer by giving False Information

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Railroad Ave. with no license plate that was visible. The vehicle turned onto Second St. failing to signal 100 feet prior. A stop was initiated and the driver identified herself as Chantell G. Broussard. While speaking with the female officers detected nervousness. According to reports when asked about her nervousness she admitted to being in possession drug paraphernalia. Jeremy P. Spears was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle produced drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana. Spears admitted that everything located belonged to him. It was also learned during the investigation that the female driver had given officers a false name and it was learned that her name was Heather R. Ganaway. The area where this incident took place was within a Drug Free Zone. The vehicle was also not registered and was not properlty insured. Ganaway was found to to have a valid driver's license. Ganaway and Spears were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Savion P. Dixon, 23 years of age, address: Barrow St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/17/2017 @ 2:14 a.m.

Charges: Aggravated Flight from an Officer
                  Aggravated Obstruction of Highway Commerce
                  Failure to signal 100 ft prior to an intersection
                  Improper lighting
                  No Drivers License
                  Resisting an Officer by giving False Information

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of LA 182 without proper lighting. The vehicle was also observed turning onto Myrtle St. failing to signal prior to the turn.Officers activated their blue emergency lights and upon doing so the vehicle fled from the officer. According to reports the vehicle was traveling at speeds in upwards of 70 M.P.H. in a 30 M.P.H. zone. The vehicle was being operated in an erratic manner failing to obey traffic signals and entered upon US 90. The vehicle was observed operating at high rates of speeds upwards of 100 M.P.H. The vehicle exited off of US 90 leaving the roadway crashing into the woods causing the vehicle to flip. Savion P. Dixon was located in the vehicle and identified as the driver. According to reports he admitted that he admitted that he fled from officers because he did not have a valid driver’s license. Dixon was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
