MCPD Arrest Report 04/18/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 43 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 04/17/2017:

Leeann N. Jones, 30 years of age, address: Azalea Dr. Donner, La, arrested on 04/17/2017 @ 9:22 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
Warrant: Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility
Warrant: F.T.A. to pay Fine on 03/21/2017

Leeann N. Jones was transported from the Patterson Police Department and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court and Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation in February of 2017 where suspected Methamphetamine was located in the Morgan City Jail. During the investigation evidence was uncovered linking Jones to the crime. Warrants for Jones’ arrest were prepared. Jones was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
