MCPD Arrest Report 04/20/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 52 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 04/19/2017:
Christopher A. Marquez, 31 years of age, address: Tower Tank Rd. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/19/2017 @ 8:32 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 07/30/2008
Christopher A. Marquez was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Marquez was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Joshua S. Smith, 21 years of age, address: West Side Park Ln. Amelia, La, arrested on 04/19/2017 @ 4:35 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: No Driver’s License
Warrant: Stop Sign Violation
Joshua S. Smith was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Smith was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Chrisjana R. Seals, 26 years of age, address: Halsey St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/19/2017 @ 9:16 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
Chrisjana R. Seals was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. According to reports the warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in September of 2015 when the victim alleged that Seals entered their residence without proper authorization while the victim was sleeping. A warrant was prepared for Seals’ arrest. Seals was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Christopher C. Adams, 43 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/19/2017 @ 10:19 p.m.
Charges: Simple Battery
Christopher C. Adams was located and arrested at a residence on Sixth St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. According to reports the warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in January of 2017 when the victim alleged that Adams committed a battery on them. A warrant was prepared for Adams’ arrest. Adams was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Elk St. According to reports during the search of the residence multiple items of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and counterfeit money was located. Evidence was uncovered during the investigation linking David Lopez to the items located. The area where the incident had taken place is within a Drug Free Zone. Lopez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Passion M. Harris, 20 years of age, address: Greenwood St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/19/2017 @ 11:05 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to pay fine on 06/07/2016
Warrant: F.T.A. to pay fine on 09/06/2016
Warrant: Probation Violation
Warrant: Theft under $300
Patrol officers responded to the area of Orange St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Passion M. Harris was located. According to reports during the investigation it was learned that Harris held active arrest warrants through the Morgan City Police and St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. Harris was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
