Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 125 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 05/05/2017:
Kandance D. Francis, 27 years of age, address: Maple St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/05/2017 @ 9:59 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation Fee on 03/01/2016

Kandance D. Francis was located and arrested in the area of Maple St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Francis was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Ramon L. Figueroa-Lugo, 38 years of age, address: Karen Dr. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/05/2017 @ 6:41 p.m.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Karen Dr. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Ramon L. Figueroa-Lugo and Luis Perez were identified and according to reports were engaged in a fistic encounter. It is alleged that Figueroa-Lugo armed himself with a weapon during the disturbance. Figeuroa-Lugo and Perez were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Battery on a Police Officer
Patrol officers responded to the area of Front St. in regards to a disturbance. According to reports officers arrived and while conducting their investigation encountered a female who was identified as Angie G. LeFleur who was causing a disturbance yelling profanities. LeFleur was arrested and while affecting the arrest allegedly struck the officer. LeFleur was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Nakeitha Bennett, 30 years of age, address: Grout St. Patterson, La, arrested on 05/05/2017 @ 9:14 p.m.
Charges: Driving under Suspension
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated with only one brake light. A stop was initiated and Nakethia Bennett was identified as the operator of the vehicle and her driver’s license was found to be suspended. Bennett was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Jason P. Myers Sr., 42 years of age, address: North 2nd St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/05/2017 @ 9:28 p.m.
Charges: Loud Music in excess of 50 Feet
Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of North 2nd St. in regards to a loud music complaint. Officers arrived and could clearly hear the excessive music. Jason P. Myers Sr. was identified as a suspect. According to reports Myers had been given warnings and citations in the past in regards to complaints of loud music. Myers was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joseph J. Thibodeaux was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Thibodeaux was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Donald R. Turner Jr., 35 years of age, address: Adams St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/05/2017 @ 11:56 p.m.

Speeding 46 mph in a 35 mph zone
Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling at 46 mph in a 35 mph zone in the area of Brashear Ave. A stop was initiated and Donald R. Turner Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. The officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage while speaking with Turner. Turner performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Turner was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for chemical testing. Turner submitted to chemical test registering .163g% blood alcohol content. Turner was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Natosha Brinlee, 39 years of age, address: Burchfield Ln. Berwick, La, arrested on 05/06/2017 @ 12:46 a.m.

Simple Battery
Patrol officers responded to a business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. According to reports officers arrived and Natosha Brinlee was identified as being in an intoxicated state and allegedly committed a battery on a victim. Brinlee was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to a business in the area of LA 70 in regards to a theft. Officers arrived and according to reports Yiron D. Dorsey was identified as taking items valued at $42.85. Dorsey was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling in the area of LA 182 with only one operable brake light. A stop was initiated and according to reports Angel L. Maldanado-Rodriguez and Efrain V. Serrano were identified as occupants of the vehicle. Officers detected an odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located during the search. Maldanado-Rodriguez and Serrano was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Paul T. Landry Jr. was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation in April of 2017 in which a stop was initiated for a stop sign and signal violation in the area of Fig St. According to reports suspected marijuana was located during the investigation. The area was within a Drug Free Zone. Landry was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Terry L. Toups, 56 years of age, address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/07/2017 @ 12:14 p.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana
Patrol officers initiated a stop in the area of LA 182 due to a restraint violation. According to reports Toups was identified as an occupant in the vehicle. During the investigation Toups was found to possess suspected marijuana. Toups was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Phillip J. Aucoin, 46 years of age, address: Guzzetta Dr. Berwick, La, arrested on 05/07/2017 @ 5:37 p.m.

Patrol officers came in contact with a subject in the area of Front St. According to reports Phillip J. Aucoin was identified and found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Aucoin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

A description of the vehicle was obtained and according to reports the suspected vehicle was located in the area. The vehicle was observed being operated in a reckless manner and failed to use signals properly. A stop was initiated and Tamario Q. Ulmer was identified as the operator of the vehicle. The vehicle was found to not have a license plate, insurance, or an inspection sticker. Ulmer was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

According to reports officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Suspected marijuana was located during the search. Skinner was also had active arrest warrants with the Thibodaux Police Department. The area where the incident took place is within a Drug Free Zone. Jones and Skinner was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
