MCPD Arrest Report 05/25/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 44 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result, beginning on 05/24/2017:


Patrick D. Guarisco, 53 years of age, Address- Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 3:33 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Marijuana
                Violation of Uniform CDS Law- Drug-Free Zone
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   Officers responded to a residence on Front St. in regards someone smoking marijuana on the property.  The witness pointed out the individual, who was identified as Patrick Guarisco. Officers did locate suspected marijuana on Guarisco’s person and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. The location of the residence is within 2000 ft of an elementary school, which is a drug-free zone.   Guarisco was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Brandon L. Boudreaux, 31 years of age, Address- Franklin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 8:00 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Criminal Neglect of Family (St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office)
                 Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)

     Brandon Boudreaux was located in the area of Federal and Brashear Ave. A warrant check was done Boudreaux and it was determined he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court and the Sixteenth Judicial District Court.  Boudreaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Loretta Moore, 43 years of age, Address- Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 8:27 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
                Cultivation of Marijuana
                Possession of Methamphetamine
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                Violation of Uniform CDS- Drug-Free Zone
                Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of Persons Under 17 yoa

   The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at a residence on Roderick St. When officers entered, they came into contact with Loretta Moore and a child under the age of seventeen. Officers searched the residence and located suspected marijuana packaged for sale, suspected marijuana plants, and suspected methamphetamine. Also, there were items used to smoke illegal narcotics found.  The location of the residence is located within 2000 ft. of an elementary school, which is a drug-free zone. Moore was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Brandon Poole, 30 years of age, Address- Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 9:08 pm.

Charge:  Seatbelt Violation
                 No Driver’s License
                 Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Obstruction of Justice
                  Violation of Uniform CDS Law – Drug-Free Zone

Anthony Dixon, 27 years of age, Address- Everett St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 9:08 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                Obstruction of Justice
                Violation of Uniform CDS Law- Drug-Free Zone

   A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Egle St. observed a vehicle with a driver not wearing a seatbelt. According to reports, prior to the vehicle stopping, the officer observed an objected thrown from the passenger side window. The traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Brandon Poole was asked to produce a valid driver’s license.  The passenger inside the vehicle was identified as Anthony Dixon. Officers retrieved the item thrown, which was a large amount of suspected marijuana packaged for sale. Consent was given to search the vehicle and items used to smoke illegal narcotics were found. The location of the traffic stop was located within 2000 ft. of an elementary school, which is a drug-free zone. A computer check revealed that Poole did not have a valid driver’s license.  Both Poole and Dixon were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
