MCPD Arrest Report 06/01/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 48 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result, beginning on 05/31/2017:


Jerry L. Percle, 48 years of age, Address- Canton St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 05/31/2017 @ 12:00 am.

Charge:  Warrant- Direct Contempt of Court

   Jerry Percle turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the Sixth War City Court. Percle was booked and incarcerated.

Rolando Villaobos, 77 years of age, Address- S. Verret St. Amelia, La. was arrested on 05/31/2017 @ 11:40 am.

Charge:  Warrant- Sexual Battery (St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office)
                Warrant- Simple Battery (St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office)

     Officers located Rolando Villaobos on Victor II Blvd. A warrant check revealed that Villaobos held active warrants with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. Villaobos was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Ronald Picou, 51 years of age, Address- Karen Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/31/2017 @ 2:42 pm.

Charge:  Remaining After Being Forbidden
                Criminal Damage to Property

     Officers responded to a residence on Federal Ave. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim. According to reports, the victim stated she wanted Ronald Picou removed from her property and that he damaged one of the doors inside the home. Officers located Picou inside the home and removed him. Reports indicate that Picou returned to the residence. Officers arrived and placed Picou under arrest and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Miguel A. Rodriguez, 27 years of age, Address- Roswell, NM was arrested on 05/31/2017 @ 8:30 pm.

Charge:  Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                 Resisting an Officer with Violence
                 Battery on an Officer

     Officers responded to the Garber St. area in regards to an individual that was possibly intoxicated.  Officers located the individual identified as Miguel Rodriguez. Reports indicate that Rodriguez appeared intoxicated and began resisting officers when trying to place him in handcuffs.  Rodriguez also committed a battery on one of the officers. Rodriguez was subdued, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
