MCPD Arrest Report 06/09/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result, beginning on 06/08/2017:

Breanna L. Hillebran, 18 years of age, address: Southeast Blvd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/08/2017 @ 7:10 a.m.

Charges: Simple Battery
                  Resisting an Officer
                  Battery on a Police Officer

Patrol officers responded to a residence on Headland St. in regards to a disturbance. According to reports officers arrived and observed Breanna L. Hillebran striking the victim. Officers intervened at which time Hillebran began to resist o and kick the officers. Hillebran was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Jerry L. Norman, 54 years of age, address: S. Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/08/2017 @ 6:28 p.m.

Charges: Hit and Run
                  Driving under Suspension
                  Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a crash that had occurred. Information was gathered that one of the vehicle’s involved had fled the scene. Officers arrived and a description of the suspect vehicle was obtained. According to reports during the course of the investigation, Jerry L. Norman was developed as a suspect. The vehicle involved was located along with Norman. During questioning Norman admitted to being the operator of the vehicle in the crash. Evidence was obtained that Norman had committed the violation which resulted in the crash. His Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Norman was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Steven Davis, 41 years of age, address: Versen St. Berwick, La., arrested on 06/08/2017 @ 8:53 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                  Improper Lighting

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of US 90 without the required lighting. A stop was initiated and Steven Davis was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Davis’ Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Davis was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Daniel Perez, 40 years of age, address: Galliano, La., arrested on 06/09/2017 @ 1:50 a.m.

Charges: No Driver’s License
                  Open Container
                  Switched License Plate
                  Improper Turn

Patrol officers observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of LA 182. A stop was initiated and Daniel Perez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports the license plate on the vehicle Perez was operating was registered to another vehicle. Perez was also found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. The officer also located an open container of an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. Perez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
