MCPD Arrest Report 07/12/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 45 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/11/2017:
Courtland Fullwood, 29 years of age, address: Third St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/11/2017 @ 4:50 p.m.
Charges: Driving under Suspension
Patrol officers observed Courtland Fullwood operating a vehicle in the area of Roderick St. and the officer had knowledge that Fullwood’s Louisiana Driver’s License was under suspension. After confirming, a stop was initiated and Fullwood was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Gerardo Martinez Jr., 26 years of age, address: Fairmont Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/12/2017 @ 03:55 a.m.
Charges: Simple Battery
Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and reports indicated that Gerardo Martinez Jr. was identified as a suspect. Martinez Jr. allegedly struck the victim during the disturbance. Martinez Jr. was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
