MCPD Arrest Report 07/18/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 38 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/17/2017:
Jesus Tenoria, 26 years of age, address: Lake Polourde Rd. Amelia, La., arrested on 07/17/2017 @ 11:22 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 06/02/2015
Jesus Tenoria was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Tenoria was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Burkin J. Dupre, 31 years of age, address: Cross Rd. #2 Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/17/2017 @ 12:51 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 05/30/2017 (4 Counts)
Burkin J. Dupre was located and arrested in the area of Fifth St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Dupre was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Kimberly Evans, 25 years of age, address: River Road Berwick, La., arrested on 07/17/2017 @ 8:45 p.m.
Charges: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 06/13/2017
Kimberly Evans was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Evans was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Chuck M. Newsom, 30 years of age, address: Clark Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/17/2017 @ 9:14 p.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana
Improper Lane Usage
Illegal use of CDS in the presence of Juveniles
Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of LA 182 swerving from lane to lane several times. A stop was initiated and Chuck M. Newsom was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Reports indicate that Newsom was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. There was also a small juvenile in the vehicle. Newsom was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Tanner W. Beglau, 29 years of age, address: E Old Spanish Trail New Iberia, La., arrested on 07/18/2017 @ 12:40 a.m.
Charges: Driving under Suspension

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Second St. negotiate and improper turn and traveled down the center of the roadway. It was also observed that the vehicle’s license plate was registered to another. A stop was initiated and Tanner W. Beglau was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Reports indicate that Beglau’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. The vehicle Beglau was operating was also found not to have any insurance as required by Louisiana Law, was not registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles, had an expired inspection sticker, and the windshield was in an condition that would obstruct the driver’s view. Beglau was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Harold A. Sheets, 33 years of age, address: Everett St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/18/2017 @ 2:13 a.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. without any headlights activated. A stop was initiated and Harold A. Sheets was identified as a passenger of the vehicle. According to reports, Sheets was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Sheets was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
