Arrest Report 02/18/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 02/17/2018:

 

Raven T. Mayon, 17 years of age, Address-La. Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/17/2014 @ 10:28am

Charge: Warrant: 2 Counts Simple Burglary; Warrant: Illegal Possession of Stolen Things

 

Kelton J. Smith, 17 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/17/2014 @ 10:28am

Charge: Warrant: Simple Burglary-2 Counts; Warrant: Illegal Possession of Stolen Things-2 Counts

     Raven Mayon T. Mayon and Kelton J. Smith were arrested after investigators with the Morgan City Police Department began an investigation into burglaries of businesses located on Railroad Avenue and Youngs Rd. which was reported to the Morgan City Police Department on January 23, 2014.  Acting on intelligence gathered from road patrol officers, the investigators were able to gather evidence implicating the pair in the crimes and recover some of the items reported stolen.  Arrest warrants were secured for the subjects, who were already incarcerated on an unrelated charge.  The subjects were booked and reincarcerated into the Morgan City Jail facility. 

 

Michelle L. Vedros, 24 years of age, Address-Gibson, La. was arrested on 02/17/2014 @ 12:02pm

Charge: Warrant: Terrebone Parish-Failure to Appear Probation Hearing; Simple Battery

     Michelle Vedros was located at Teche Regional Medical Center and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants from Terrebone Parish authorities.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Jermie A. Hanks, 36 years of age, Address-Arkansas St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/17/2014 @ 6:09pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Probation Fees

     While investigating a complaint in the area of Arkansas St., officers came into contact with Jermie Hanks who was discovered to be wanted by the Morgan City Police Department on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Traylon A. Grogan, 22 years of age, Address-Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/17/2014 @ 7:37pm

Charge: Remaining where Forbidden

     Traylon Grogan was located and arrested at a Second St. residence after officers were summoned to the residence with regards to Mr. Grogan refusing to leave the premises by the owner.  Grogan, who was located at the location was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Jeremy J. Andrews, 26 years of age, Address-Third St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 02/17/2014 @ 9:13pm

Charge: Warrant: Theft under $500.00

    Jeremy Andrews was located and arrested on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department in regards to a theft of money from a local Hwy 182 business which was alleged to have occurred in November 2013.  Andrews, who was a previous employee of the business was accused of removing funds from a safe at the business.  He was identified and an arrest warrant was secured.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
