MCPD Arrest Report 08/24/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 41 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 08/23/2017:

Timothy S. Crum, 38 years of age, address: Hwy 663 Morgan City, La., arrested on 08/23/2017 @ 10:54 a.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Improper Turning

Patrol officers observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of Front St. According to reports, Timothy S. Crum was identified as the operator of the vehicle. It was found that Crum’s Louisiana Driver’s License was under suspension. Crum was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Nicholas A. Breaux, 39 years of age, address: Morgan City, La., arrested on 08/23/2017 @ 11:06 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine 10/25/2016
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 07/25/2017 (3 counts)

Nicholas A. Breaux was located and arrested in the area of Fifth St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Breaux was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Mandy S. Wininger, 38 years of age, address: Fairview Dr. Berwick, La., arrested on 08/23/2017 @ 2:25 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Mandy S. Wininger was located and arrested in the area of Roselawn Drive on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in June of 2017 in which Wininger was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The investigation continued and a warrant was prepared for Wininger’s arrest. Wininger was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Candice P. Businelle, 29 years of age, address: Jones St. Berwick, La., arrested on 085/23/2017 @ 5:06 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Domestic Abuse Battery- Child Endangerment Law

Candice P. Businelle was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in June of 2016 where Businelle allegedly struck the victim during a domestic disturbance. The disturbance allegedly took place in the presence of a minor child. Buisnelle was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Benjamin Cheramie, 47 years of age, address: Franklin St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 08/23/2017 @ 8:45 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Warrant: F.T.A for Trial on 08/03/2017 (2 counts)

Benjamin Cheramie was located and arrested in the area of 6th Street on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. According to reports, during his arrest Cheramie was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.  Cheramie was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Paige Mabe 08242017

Paige Mabe, 28 years of age, address: Fourth St. Berwick, La., arrested on 08/23/2017 @ 10:38 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of SCH II CDS (Cocaine)
                 Possession of SCH III CDS (Buprenorphine)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)
                 Disturbing the Peace

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Federal Avenue in regards to a subject who appeared to be intoxicated. According to reports, Paige Mabe was located and identified as the subject in question. Mabe was found to be in an intoxicated state. Mabe was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana, Cocaine, Buprenorphine, and drug paraphernalia. The area where this incident took place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Mabe was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Cregory L. Johnson, 25 years of age, address: Egle Mill Ln. Morgan City, La., arrested on 08/24/2017 @ 3:36 a.m.

Charges: Theft

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a theft. According to reports, Cregory L. Johnson was identified as taking merchandise valued at $8.20. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
