MCPD Arrest Report 09/08/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 35 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 09/07/2017:

Tracy A. Thomas, 49 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 09/07/2017 @ 9:15 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Cruelty to Animals

Tracy A. Thomas was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on August 7, 2017, when officers responded to the area of Youngs Road in regards to an animal complaint. According to reports, during the course of the investigation, it was learned that Thomas allegedly abandoned a dog in that area. Warrants were prepared for Thomas’ arrest. Thomas was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Kellie Boudreaux, 34 years of age, address: Shaw Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 09/07/2017 @ 12:51 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 08/15/2017

Kellie Boudreaux was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Boudreaux was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Kathryn L. Blakeman, 45 years of age, address: Cypress St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 09/07/2017 @ 2:25 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Hit & Run
                 Warrant: Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                 Warrant: Driving under Suspension

 

Kathryn L. Blakeman was located and arrested at the City Court on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on August 02, 2017, when officers responded to the area of Sixth St. in regards to a mail box that had been struck and the vehicle had left the area. According to reports, during the investigation, Kathryn L. Blakeman was developed as a suspect. Evidence was uncovered linking Blakeman to the crime. It was also learned that Blakeman’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Warrants were prepared for Blakeman’s arrest. Blakeman was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Caleb Daigle 09082017

Caleb M. Daigle, 17 years of age, address: Levee Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 09/07/2017 @ 4:30 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm

Caleb M. Daigle was located and arrested in the area of Front St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division in regards to a Theft of a Firearm. Reports indicate during the investigation, Daigle was developed as a suspect and evidence was uncovered that placed Daigle in possession of the stolen firearm. Warrants were prepared for Daigle’s arrest. Daigle was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jasreail James 09072017

Jasreail A. James, 33 years of age, address: Roberston St. Franklin, La., arrested on 09/07/2017 @ 9:37 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Adderall)
                 Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of a Legend Drug (Baclofen)
                 Possession of a Firearm in the presence of CDS
                 Improper Lighting
                 No Insurance

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and Jasreail A. James was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, James was found to be in possession of suspected Adderall, Marijuana, Baclofen, and a firearm. The vehicle was also found to be without proper insurance as required by Louisiana Law. James was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Brian J. Ott, 38 years of age, address: Mount St. Berwick, La., arrested on 09/08/2017 @ 2:54 a.m.

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Driving under Suspension
                 Improper Lane Usage
                 No Insurance

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 swerving from lane to lane. A stop was initiated and Brian J. Ott was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Ott was found to be in an intoxicated state. Ott performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. The vehicle that Ott was operating was found to not have proper insurance as required as Louisiana Law and his Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Ott was transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing to which Ott refused to submit to. Ott was booked and incarcerated into the Morgan City Jail.
