Arrest Report 02/20/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 02/19/2014:

 

Peter E. Grogan, 35 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/19/2014 @ 5:35pm

Charge: Warrant: Theft under $500.00

Peter Grogan was located by officers on the corner of Arkansas St. and Barrow St. in Morgan City and placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was transported to the Morgan City Jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Elizabeth M. Lasseigne, 34 years of age, Address-Prescott Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/19/2014 @ 10:07pm

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated; Improper Lane Usage; Possession of Schedule IV CDS-Lorazepam

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic fashion and stopped the vehicle in the area of Duke St. and Federal Avenue.  The driver of the vehicle, Elizabeth Lasseigne, according to reports was found to be in an impaired condition.  The subject was provided a standardized field sobriety test which she did poorly on portions then refused to complete the test.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where after being advised of her rights refused the Intoxilyzer 5000 test.  She was also found to possess several pills of a Schedule IV CDS-Lorazepam on her possession and was additionally charged.  She was booked and incarcerated.
