Charge: Unauthorized Use of an Access Card as Theft
On February 03, 2014, investigators instituted an investigation into the theft of credit cards which occurred at a Morgan City restaurant. During the investigation, it was learned that the credit cards had been used at several local retail outlets at locations ranging from Patterson, La. to Morgan City, La. Detectives identified Edward Giroir as a suspect in the investigation. Giroir, who was en employee at the restaurant where the theft allegedly occurred was questioned and evidence obtained which implicated him as well as two other subjects in the use of the access cards. The other two suspects, identifed as Chad Arabie and Kenneth Hebert of Morgan City were also questioned and implicated as being involved. The three subjects-Giroir, Arabie and Hebert were arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail Facility. Because some of the purchases were made at locations in the Bayou Vista and Patterson areas, arrest warrants were secured by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department as well as the Morgan City Police Department. Some of the items purchased by the fraudulent means were recovered as evidence.

Charge: Appearing in an Intoxicated Condition; Criminal Damage to Property
Luis Obregon was arrested at a Railroad Ave. apartment complex after officers responded to a disturbance at that location. Upon arrival, officers learned that Obregon had allegedly damaged a windshield on another subjects vehicle after that subject had asked Obregon to lower music playing in the parking lot of the complex. Obregon, who was intoxicated, was located and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Brennan R. Tabor, 26 years of age, Address-Chatsworth Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2014 @ 2:18am
Charge: Stop Sign Violation; Warrant: Resisting an Officer, Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated 1st Offense
Brennan Tabor was arrested after a patrolling officer observed a vehicle fail to negotiate a stop sign. Tabor, who was identified as the driver, was found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
John Ross, 45 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2014 @ 9:40am
Charge: Appearing in Public in an Intoxicated Condition
John Ross was arrested after he was located by officers in the area of Fourth St. and Brashear Avenue in an intoxicated condition. Ross, who was observed walking in the roadway was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Dietra R. James, 36 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2014 @ 3:13pm
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers were summoned to a Fourth St. residence regarding a complaint of an uncontrollable juvenile. Officers arrived and learned that Dietra James and a juvenile daughter had been involved in an altercation. Officers discovered minor injuries and scratches on the neck of the juvenile which were allegedly caused by Dietra James in the altercation. Dietra James was arrested based on statements and evidence at the scene for the battery and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. l
Corey J. Rogers, 37 years of age, Address-Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2014 @ 5:30pm
Charge: Simple Battery involving a Juvenile
Officers responded to a complaint of disturbance at a Bush St. residence. Officers arrived and learned from witnesses that Corey Rogers had grabbed a nine year old juvenile, throwing the juvenile to the ground. Officers spoke to Rogers who was located at his residence. Rogers admitted to officers that he had shoved the child. Corey Rogers was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department's Jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated.
Joni L. Madison, 33 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2014 @ 9:35pm
Charge: No Tail Lamps, Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License
Joni Madison was arrested after officers observed a vehicle being driven without operating tail lamps. The vehicle was stopped at David Dr. and Highway 182 and the driver identified as Joni Madison. Madison was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Crack Cocaine; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Clonazepam; Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law-School Zone; Warrant: St. Mary Sheriff's Office-Theft Under $500.00-Failure to Appear
Narcotics Detectives observed a suspicous vehicle in the area of Acorn St. and Garber St. and proceeded to stop the vehicle. As investigators stopped the vehicle, a male subject fled from the vehicle and a foot chase ensued. The subject, identified as Timothy Humphrey was located a short time later hiding under a residence. He was returned to the scene and detained with the other subject in the vehicle, identified as Ameedah Charles. During the investigation, powder cocaine, crack cocaine, hydrocodone and clonazepam were located inside the vehicle along with an open container of alcoholic beverage. The subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. Due to the vehicle being within a school zone area, they were additionally charged.

Charge: Appearing in an Intoxicated Condition
Jerry Boyer was arrested after he was located at the corner of Fifth St. and Brashear Ave. in an intoxicated condition. Officers who had been dispatched to the scene located Boyer leaning up against the building. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Israel Ramirez, 28 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/23/2014 @ 4:57pm
Charge: Illegal Discharge of a Firearm; Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in a Moving Vehicle
Officers were dispatched to the area of Railroad Avenue regarding gunshots in the area. Officers arrived and during their investigation, recovered shell casings and statements from witnesses. A suspect vehicle was located a short time later in the area and the driver, Israel Ramirez was detained. During the stop, officers located additional evidence inside the vehicle and a .45 cal. handgun. The subject, Ramirez, who also possessed and alcoholic beverage in his vehicle was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Stop Sign Violation; Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License
A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Terrebone St. and Federal Avenue after the driver failed to negotiate a stop sign. The driver, Shandace Harris was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license and was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.
