MCPD Arrest Report 09/22/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 39 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 09/21/2017:

Harry Irvin Jr., 51 years of age, address: Garber St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 09/21/2017 @ 11:38 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: Possession of SCH I CDS (Synthetic Marijuana)
                 Warrant: Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Harry Irvin Jr. was located and arrested in the area of Garber St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division on September 07, 2017 when they came in contact with Irvin in the area of Fourth St. and was he found to be in possession of suspected Synthetic Marijuana. The area where this incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Irvin was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kerry Lucas, 56 years of age, address: Aucoin St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 09/21/2017 @ 1:37 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation Fee on 08/12/2008
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 08/26/2008
                 Warrant: Probation Violation

Kerry Lucas was located and arrested in the area of Aucoin St. on active warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Lucas was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

William S. Deans Sr., 39 years of age, address: Roselawn Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 09/21/2017 @ 3:00 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Violation of a Protective Order 

William S. Deans Sr. was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office. Deans Sr. was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Drew S. Landry, 25 years of age, address: St. John St. Pierre Part, La., arrested on 09/22/2017 @ 2:35 a.m.
Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Improper Lane Usage
                 Speeding 60 mph in a 45 mph Zone

Patrol officers observed being operated in the area of LA 182 in an erratic manner swerving from lane to lane at speeds of 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. A stop was initiated and Drew S. Landry was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Landry was found to be in an intoxicated state. Landry performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Landry was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test. Upon arrival to the Morgan City Jail Landry submitted to Chemical Test which registered .146g% blood alcohol content. Landry was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
