 Jerome Guidry, 38 years of age, Address: Pluto St. Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 01/04/2017 @ 10:40am.

Charge:  Unauthorized Use of Access Cards

     Jerome Guidry was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Detectives of an incident reported on October 18, 2016 of alleged unauthorized use of access cards. Guidry was booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.  The investigation continues.

Angela Campbell, 53 years of age, Address: Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/04/2017 @ 11:18am.

Charges:  Theft by Shoplifting
                  Simple Battery

     Officers responded to a local grocery store on Brashear Avenue in regard to a report of a shoplifter. The officers arrived and spoke with the store management who directed officers to a female still on scene identified as Angela Campbell.  Campbell was detained for further investigation.  During the investigation, officers were told that Campbell was observed taking items from the store and attempting to flee when Campbell committed a battery on an employee that confronted Campbell about the alleged theft according to reports. The items valued at $27.95 were recovered and returned to the store. Campbell was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Christober C Adams, 42 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/04/2017 @ 2:53pm.

Charge:  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Drug Court Proceedings

     Christopher Adams was located by officers on Eighth Street near Duke Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial District Court. Adams was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Marguerite Street near Sixth Street with improper brake lighting.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Kristi K Adams.  During a traffic investigation, Adams behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that she may be involved in illegal drug activity.   A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana, soma and drug paraphernalia.  The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws.  Adams was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Jasmine Roberson, 19 years of age, Address: Henry St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 01/02/2017 @ 10:22pm.

     Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Investigators observed a vehicle on Hwy 182 near Ditch Avenue traveling out of its designated lane of travel.  A traffic stop was conducted when the occupants of the vehicle were identified  as driver Lakesha R Griffin and passengers Taj M Broussard and Jasmine Roberson. During a traffic investigation the occupants of aroused the investigator's suspicions that they may be involved in illegal drug activity.  A search of the vehicle was conducted when investigators located suspected marijuana, MDMA (ecstasy) and drug paraphernalia.  A search of Broussard's person was conducted when investigators located more suspected marijuana which was believed to be packaged for distribution and U.S. currency believed to have been obtained from the sales of illegal drugs. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws.  Broussard, Griffin and Roberson were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Ricky Lightsey, 41 YOA Sixth St Berwick,LA was arrested on 12-29-2016 @1:45 pm

Charge: Theft of Goods

Officers were called to a Hwy 182 business and spoke with employees who observed Mr. Lightsey take a pack of razor blades and put them in his back pocket.  Ligthsey was detained by employees who contacted the police.  Officers spoke with Lightsey who admitted to the taking the razor blades valued at $18.04.  Lightsey was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Detectives while investigating a Burglary complaint located Rayfield Grant at a residence on Patton St. in Morgan City.  Officer knew that Grant had outstanding warrants from the City Court of Morgan City and 16th JDC.  During the arrest officer located more suspected marijuana .  Grant was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.  Grant lives within a drug free zone, also there are juveniles that live at the residence with Grant.

Alejandro Gutierrez, 30 YOA Hwy 182 E Morgan City,LA was arrested on 12-29-2016 @ 3:54 pm

Martena Rasco-27 YOA Third St Moran City,LA was arrested on 12-29-2016 @ 4:15 pm

Rasco was arrested after an investigation into a hit and run which occurred on November 22, 2016 at a Victor II business.  Rasco admitted that she was driving that the vehicle involved in the hit and run.  It was also learned that Rasco did not have a valid driver's license or Insurance on the vehicle.  Rasco was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.

     Ricky D Pillaro was located in the Morgan City Court where he was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department.  The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City  Police Detectives of an incident reported on December 21, 2016 of an alleged theft and criminal trespassing. Pillaro was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Ryan J Rogers, 36 years of age, Address: Duson, La. was arrested on 01/03/2017 @ 5:38pm.

                  Driving While Intoxicated

     An officer responded to Greenwood Street near La. 70 in regard to a report of a vehicle blocking the roadway and the driver appeared to be sleeping.  The officer arrived and located that vehicle when the  driver was identified as Ryan J Rogers. During a traffic investigation, reports indicated that Rogers was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Rogers was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Rogers refused to submit to the Intoxilyzer 5000. Rogers was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

     Jessica B Hue was transported from the Jefferson Davis Parish Correctional Facility to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department.  The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted Morgan City Police of an incident on February 15, 2016 on Brashear Avenue where Hue was alleged to possess synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia while in a drug free zone. Hue was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

                  Stop Sign Violation

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in on Ninth Street near Willard Streett with no lights. The officer attempted to conducted a traffic stop when the vehicle failed to stop. A vehicle chase then ensued for several blocks when the vehicle was observe to disregard several stop signs. The vehicle then stopped on Marguerite Street near Sixth Street when according to reports the driver exited the vehicle an fled on foot. The driver later identified as Leonard M Colt was captured by responding officers moments later. During an investigation officers observed an opened alcoholic container inside the vehicle. Colt, who was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Colt submitted to the Intolilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .133 grams percent. A drivers license check also revealed that Colt had a suspended drivers license. Colt was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Shade Suire, 24 years of age, Address: Chestnut Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/30/2016 @ 3:28pm

Charges:  Possession of Heroin
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway at Shaw Drive and Levee Road. As the officer approached the vehicle, a male subject was observed in the driver seat  who appeared to a unconscious. The driver was awaken and identified as Shade Suire. Suire's behavior aroused the officers suspicions that Suire may be involved in illegal narcotics activity.  A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia. Suire was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Clarence Junifer, 56 years of age, Address:  Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/30/2016 @ 4:38pm.

Charge:  Warrant - Probation Violation

     Officers responded to a residence on Robin St. in regard to a reported disturbance. The officers arrived and located two subjects involved in the alleged disturbance identified as Willis R Junifer and Clarence Junifer.  During an investigation,  reports indicate that Willis Junifer was observed by the officers shouting using offensive language. Willis Junifer failed to heed the officers warning about his disruptive behavior and was placed under arrest. A warrants check was conducted and it was revealed that Clarence Junifer had an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court and was also arrested. Both were transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

     Jeffery Phillips was located by officers at a residence on First Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on May 4, 2016 of an alleged domestic battery.  Phillips was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charles Lodrigue, 37 years of age, Address: Belanger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/31/2016 @ 10:49am.

                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Officers responded to an address on Franklin Street in regard to removing a subject from the residence. As officers arrived a subject was observed running from the residence and into a nearby building. The officers were told by the complainant that  the Charles Lodrigue was the person observed running from the residence and that Lodrigue had been involved in a disturbance at the residence.  Lodrigue was located by officers at the nearby building and detained for further investigation.  During the investigation, reports indicate that the officers located suspected marijuana, suboxone and drug paraphernalia in the building Lodrigue attempted to hide from officers in.  Evidence which supported that the illegal contraband belonged to Lodrigue was uncovered by the officers. Lodrigue was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

     An officer responded to a local drug store on Seventh Street in regard to a reported shoplifter.  The officer arrived and was told that a female known was Nicole M Fisher had just exited that store and had set off the theft alarm while doing so. The officer spoke with fisher who was detained for further investigation.  During the investigation, reports indicated that several items were located in Fisher's purse which belonged to the store and were not paid for valued at $68.24. The officer also located suspected Alprazolam, Buprenorphine Subglingual, Clonazepam, Marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Fisher. Fisher was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

                  Warrant - Simple Battery

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on La. 70 traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer clocked the vehicle at 61mph in a 45 mph speed zone.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Brennan  M Acosta. A warrants check revealed that Acosta had an active arrest warrant with the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on March 11, 2016 of an alleged battery. Acosta was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Wilson J Norris Jr., 45 years of age, Address: Franklin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/01/2017 @ 1:53am.

                  Driving While Intoxiated

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Hwy 182 at a high rate of speed. The officer clocked that vehicle at 47mph in a 35mph speed zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Wilson J Norris Jr.. During a traffic investigation, reports indicated that Norris Jr. was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Norris Jr. was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Norris Jr. submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .116 grams percent. Norris Jr. was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.

Ivan Campos, 33 years of age, Address: Denton, Tx. was arrested on 01/01/2017 @ 2:29am.

                 Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

     Officers responded to the area of Hwy 182 near Everett Street in regard to ka vehicle striking several signs and fleeing the area.  A responding officers observed a vehicle matching the description was damage to the vehicle traveling west on Hwy 90. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Ivan Campos. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that the officers uncovered evidence that Campos's vehicle had struck the signs and fled the scene. Campos was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

     An officer responded to the U.S. exit ramp at Hwy 182 in regard to a single vehicle crash. The officer arrived and identified the driver of the vehicle identified as Amanda Trim who allegedly lost control of the vehicle and struck the guard rail. During a traffic investigation, reports indicated that Trim's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that she may be involved in illegal drug activity.  A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana.  Trim was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Officers investigating a Hit and Run that occurred on December 22, 2016 spoke with Ms. Rasco during the investigation.  Rasco was found to have warrants from City Court of Morgan City. Ms. Rasco was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.   The Hit and Run is still under investigation.

Mr. Hayes was observed in the Union St. area the patrolling officer knew of outstanding warrants on Mr. Hayes.  Mr. Hayes was detained and the warrants were verified at which time Mr. Hayes was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Benjamin Wever, 40 YOA Ninth St. Morgan City,LA was arrested on 12-28-2016 @ 6:45pm.

Charges: Warrant-City Court of Morgan City-FTA to pay probation fee

Mr. Wever was located by officers  at a Hwy 182 business.  The officer knew of an outstanding warrant for Mr. Wever , who was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police department for booking.
