Norman Vinning, 50 years of age, Address- Pecan St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/12/2016 @ 2:53 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Parole Violation (State of Texas)

Norman Vinning was located in the area of Federal Ave. and Leona St. A warrants check was done on Vinning and it was determined that he held an active warrant with Department of Probation and Parole of Texas. Vinning was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Rand Metrejean Jr., 51 years of age, Address- Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/12/2016 @ 6:35 pm.

Officers responded to a local business on Brashear Ave. in regards to an individual sitting in front of the business. Officers arrived and made contact with the individual, identified as Ran Metrejean. A warrants check was done on Metrejean and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Metrejean was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Archie Jones, 21 years of age, Address- Birch St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/12/2016 @ 7:03 pm.

                Possession of Synthetic Marijuana 1st Offense

    A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Egle St., observed a vehicle fail to use its turn signal, while turning onto Egle St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Archie Jones was asked to produce a valid driver's license. Reports indicate that Jones admitted to not having a driver's license. During the course of the investigation, the officer was given consent to search Jones' vehicle and located suspected synthetic marijuana. Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Shade Suire, 24 years of age, Address- Chestnut Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/12/16 @ 8:18 pm.

Trevor J. Alcina, 26 years of age, Address- Chennault St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/12/2016 @ 8:18 pm.

An officer patrolling the boat landing on LA 70, observed a vehicle parked in the area. The officer approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Shade Suire, who was asked to exit the vehicle. Suire appeared nervous which aroused the officer's suspicion that he might be involved in illegal drug activity. While talking to Suire, the officer observed an item used when taking illegal narcotics. The passenger of the vehicle, Trevor Alcina was also asked to exit the vehicle. Consent to search the vehicle was given to the officer and suspected Subutex was located. Both Suire and Alcina were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

John Walsh, 36 years of age, Address- Charlotte Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 12/12/2016 @ 9:57 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fine-Driving Under Suspension

Officers located John Walsh in the area of LA 70. A warrants check was done on Walsh and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Walsh was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

                Warrant- Simple Assault

   A patrol officer in the area of Justa St. and Martin Luther King Blvd. observed a vehicle fail to use its turn signal, while turning on to MLK Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, identified as Roger Short was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that the plate displayed on the vehicle was registered to a different vehicle. It was also learned that there was no insurance on the vehicle. Short also held active warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. The passenger in the vehicle, Shekera Sylvester was asked to exit the vehicle. Officers were able to get consent to search the vehicle and located cellophane bags packaged for sale of pills identified as Hydrocodone, Tramadol and Trazodone. Both Short and Sylvester were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Alex J. Theriot, 26 years of age, Address- Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/08/2016 @ 2:53 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Probation Violation (2cts)

Alex Theriot was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City for probation violation. Theriot was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kaleb Gros, 19 years of age, Address- Sunshine Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/09/2016 @ 5:28 am.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

                 Violation of Uniform CDS-Drug Free Zone

   Officers responded to a local business on Hwy 182 in regards to an individual that appeared intoxicated and was about to drive off in a vehicle. A description of the vehicle was given out and officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of the business. The driver of the vehicle, Robert Gros was asked to exit the vehicle. A warrants check was done on Robert and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court and the Morgan City Police Department. The front passenger, Justin Renteria and rear passenger, Kalab Gros were asked to exit the vehicle. While speaking to Renteria, officers noticed him chewing on a substance. The substance was retrieved from Renteria's mouth and it appeared to be suspected marijuana. Officers also located several cellophane bags of suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. The location of the stop was near a recreational ball park which is a drug free zone. All subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Eroy J. Acosta Jr., 31 years of age, Address- Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/09/2016 @ 12:40 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Simple Battery (2cts)

Eroy Acosta was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for Sixth Ward City Court and the Morgan City Police Department. Acosta was booked and incarcerated.

Brittany N. Burbante, 26 years of age, Address- Russo St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 12/10/2016 @ 8:17 pm.

Charge: Possession of Stolen Property

Wyatt Brown, 29 years of age, Address-Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/10/2016 @ 8:17 pm.

A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Marshall St. observed a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle stolen out of the Baton Rouge, La. area. The officer ran a computer check on the license plate and the vehicle did come back as stolen. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Wyatt Brown was asked to exit the vehicle. The passenger identified as Brittany Burbante was also asked to exit the vehicle. According to reports, Burbante stated that she knew the vehicle was stolen. Both Brown and Burbante was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Salvador Lira, 35 years of age, Address- Francis St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 12/11/2016 @ 1:20 am.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense

                 No Driver's License

   Officers responded to a local motel on Brashear Ave. in regards to a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run vehicle crash. A description of the vehicle was given out and the vehicle matching the description was located in the parking lot of the motel. According to reports, witnesses stated that the vehicle had ran onto the median and crashed into a road sign and a tree on Hwy 182. The vehicle continued on to the motel on Brashear Ave. Officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle, Salvador Lira. Reports indicate that Lira appeared intoxicated. Officers also noticed heavy damage to the front of the vehicle. Lira was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Lira was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Lira submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Lira result yielded .215g% blood alcohol content. Lira was booked and incarcerated.

Jennifer Beecher, 31 years of age, Address- Beadle St. Amelia, La. was arrested on 12/10/2016 @ 2:10 am.

Charge: Warrant- Failure to Appear for Trial- (St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office)

A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of LA 70 and Marguerite St. Jennifer Beecher was a passenger in the vehicle. A warrants check was done on Beecher and it was determined that she held an active warrant for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court. Beecher was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Melvin J. East, 56 years of age, Address- Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/10/2016 @ 9:55 pm.

Officers located Melvin East at his residence. A warrants check was done on East and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court and the Sixteenth Judicial District Court. Ciara D. Percle, 30 years of age, Address- Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/11/2016 @ 10:09 am.

   Officers responded to a residence on Glenwood St. in regards to a disturbance. Officer made contact with Ciara Percle. A warrants check was done on Percle and it was determined that she held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Percle was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

James Nicholas, 39 years of age, Address- Birch St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/12/2016 @ 1:29 am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Officers responded to a residence on Birch St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers made contact with the victim, who stated that James Nicholas had made threats to harm her and she wanted to pursue charges on him. Officer were able to locate Nicholas and he appeared intoxicated. Nicholas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Joshua M LaCoste was located by officers at a residence on Hwy 182 where he was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident on November 12, 2016 which alleged that LaCoste possessed marijuana and drug paraphernalia while in the presence of a juvenile. LaCoste was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Louis Aucoin Jr., 46 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/07/2016 @ 9:50am.

Charge: Warrant - Theft

Louis Aucoin Jr. was transported from the Lafourche Parish Detention Center to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by Morgan City Police. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on March 29, 2016 of an alleged theft. Aucoin was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Jahmarcus L Paddio, 20 years of age, Address: Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/07/2016 @ 11:29am.

Jahmarcus L Paddio was located by officers at a residence on Freret Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on October 9, 2016 of alleged entering or remaining in places after being forbidden. Paddio was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Lisa K Vasseur, 50 years of age, Address: Trey Daniel Rd. Gonzales, La. was arrested on 12/07/2016 @ 11:32pm.

An officer responded to the intersection of Franklin Street @ Cedar Street in regard to a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway. The officer arrived and located the described vehicle when the officer observed a female in the driver seat identified as Lisa K Vasseur. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that Vasseur was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Vasseur was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Vasseur refused the Intoxilyzer 5000. Vasseur was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail where she was incarcerated.

Linda M Fontenot, 29 years of age, Address: Rue Royal Rd. Franklin, La. was arrested on 12/05/2016 @ 8:30am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting

Carly Sudan and Linda M Fontenot who were incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail were booked on additional charges of disturbing the peace by fighting. On 12/05/2016 correctional officers responded to a cell in regard to two females fighting. The offices identified Carly Sudan and Linda M Fontenot as the two females involved. An investigation was conducted and according to reports evidence of the alleged fight was uncovered by the officers. Sudan and Fontenot were booked on the additional chargers and remain incarcerated.

Jerry L Percle Jr., 48 years of age, Address: Canton St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 12/05/2016 @ 11:49am.

Jerry L Percle Jr. was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on November 23, 2016 of alleged theft of utilities. Percle Jr. was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Laniya Grogan, 19 years of age, Address: Cardinal St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/05/2016 @ 1:48pm.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting

Officers responded to a local educational facility on Hickory Street in regard to a fight between students. The officers arrived and identified Laqwaijha M Bourgeois and Laniya Grogan. Officers were told that during the altercation a teacher attempted to separate Bourgeois and Grogan when Bourgeois committed a battery on the teacher. An investigation was conducted and according reports evidence of the alleged fight and battery was uncovered by the officers. Both Bourgeois and Grogan were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Colby L Freeman, 42 years of age, Address: Patterson St. Lafayette, La. was arrested on 12/06/2016 @ 2:00am.

Charges: Improper Turning
Driving Under Suspension

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make an improper turn at the intersection of Brashear Avenue and Ninth Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Colby L Freeman. A drivers license check revealed that Freeman had a suspended drivers license. Freeman was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
