The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 10/27/2016.

Ian M Gray, 17 years of age, Address: Heritage Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/26/2016 @ 10:43am. 

Charge:  
Warrant - Simple Criminal Damage to Property

     Ian M Gray was located by offficers on Hickory Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Detectives of an incident reported on October 21, 2016 of alleged simple criminal damage to property. Gray was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

James E Hayes, 35 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/27/2016 @ 4:30am. 

Charges:  Warrant - Failure to Appear on 07/14/16 for Driving While Intoxicated
                  Warrant - Probation Violation

     James E Hayes was located by officers at a residence on Sixth Street where he was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Hayes was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

The following person was arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 10/24/2016.

Javier Santos, 44 years of age, Address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/24/2016 @ 7:05am.

Charges:
 Disturbing the Peace by Intoxication
                  Criminal Trespassing
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear on 09/20/16 for Theft by Shoplifting


     Officers responded to a residence on Willard Street in regard to a subject trespassing on the property. The officers arrived when they spoke with construction workers who told officers that they were in the process of renovating the residence. On the morning of 10/24/2016, workers arrived when they located a subject sleeping inside the residence that was not supposed to be there. Officers then made contact with the subject in question identified as Javier Santos who was still inside the reisdence. During an investigation, reports indicate that Santos was suspected to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. A warrants check revealed that Santos had an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Santos was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 10/20/2016. 

Angela Campbell, 52 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/20/2016 @ 5:30pm.

Charge:  
Theft

     Officers responded to a local grocery store no Hwy 182 in regard to a reported shoplifter. The officers spoke with store managment who told the officers that a female subject who was still on scene was observed concealing several items from the store on her person and was attempting to leave the store. The officers then located the subject identified as Angela Campbell.  During an investigation, reports indicate that officers located several concealed items from the store on Campbell's person. Campbell was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated. 

Jasmine T Durkins, 25 years of age, Address: St. Joseph St. New Iberia, La. was arrested on 10/20/2016 @ 5:38pm.

Charge:  Warrant - Simple Battery

     Jasmine T Durkins was located by officers in the 6th Ward Morgan City Court where she was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on July 15, 2016 of an alleged battery. Durkins was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

Barron F Kenner, 43 years of age, Address: First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/20/2016 @ 10:37pm. 

Charges:  Possession With the Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine 
                  Violation of uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws (Durg Free Zone)
                  Obstruction of Justice
                  Resisting An Officer
                  Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds
                  Improper Lane Usage
                  No Vehicle Insurance

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on U.S. 90 traveling out of its designated lane of travel. The vehicle exited U.S. 90 onto Hwy 70 where  a traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Barron F Kenner. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that Kenner did not have proper state required vehicle insurance. Kenner's behavior arroused the officer's suspicions that Kenner may be involved in illegal drug activity. Reports indicated that the officer observed a large bulge in Kenner's mouth. The officer instructed Kenner to discard the bulge from his mouth when Kenner began to flee on foot. A foot chase ensued when officers were able to apprehend Kenner moments later. The object was retreived from Kenner's mouth which officers identified as suspected crack cocaine. More that $500.00 in US currency was located on Kenner which officers believed to be obtained from the sales of illegal narcotics. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Kenner was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Jason A Maxey, 37 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/21/2016 @ 5:12am. 

Charges:  Speeding
                  Driving Under Suspension

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Hwy 182 at a high rate of speed. The officer clocked the vehicle @ 52mph in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Jason A Maxey. A drivers license check revealed that Maxey had a suspended drivers license. Maxey was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Amber L Theriot, 29 years of age, Address: Rose St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/25/2016 @ 1:27pm. 

Charges:  Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                  No Drivers License
                  No Motor Vehicle Insurance
                  Possession With the Intent To Distribute Synthetic Marijuana
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Intering Contraband Into a Penal Facility
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws
                  Warrant - Faliure to Appear for No Drivers License
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Red Light Violation

     Officers responded to the intersection of Victor II Blvd. and Hwy 70 in regard to a vehicle crash. Officers arrived and identified Amber L Theriot as the driver of one of the vehicles invovled in the crash. During the crash investigation, reports indicate that Theriot did not have a valid drivers license nor did the vehicle have state required insurance. A warrants check also revealed that Theriot had an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court at which time Theriot was placed under arrest. Reports indicate that officers conducted a vehicle inventory prior to towing the vehicle and during this inventory officers located suspected synthetic marijuana which was believed to be for distribution. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Theriot was transported to the Morgan City Jail where a more thorough search of Theriot's person was conducted. During this search officers located more suspected synthectic marijuana. Theriot was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

Avery D Metrejean, 34 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/26/2016 @ 12:43am. 

Charges:  Possession With the Intent to Distribute Marijuana
                  Possession of Methamphetamine
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear on 10/07/16 for Aggravated Flight from an Officer with Human
                                  Life Endangered

     Officers responded to a local convenience store on Hwy 182 in regard to a call of a suspicios person sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. The officers arrived when they located a vehicle matching the description provided in the parking lot occupied by a subject identified as Avery D Metrejean. During an investigation, reports indicate that Metrejean's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that Metrejean was involved in illegal drug activity. A search was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana which was bellieved to be intended for distribution on Metrejean's person. During a search of the vehicle, officers located more suspected marijuana, along with suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  A warrants check revealed that Metrejean had an active arrest warrant through the 16th Judicial District Court. Metrejean was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 10/21/2016.

Ricky D Pillaro, 61 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/21/2016 @ 12:57pm. 

Charges:  
Warrant - Forgery
                  Warrant - Theft

     Ricky D Pillaro was located by officers on Patton Street near Pecos Street where he was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Detectives of an incident report on September 13, 2016 of an alleged forgery and theft. Pillaro was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Nicholas N Castle, 20 years of age, Address: Shannon St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/21/2016 @ 1:40pm. 

Charge:  
Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

     On 10/21/2016 Nicholas N Castle came into the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an investigation being conducted by Morgan City Police Detectives. The investigation was in regard to a reported incident on October 15, 2016 of alleged carnal knowledge of a juvenile. During the course of the investigation, reports indicate that detectives uncovered evidence of the alleged incident. Castle was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated. 

Brodney T Willams, 27 years of age, Address: N Street Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/21/2016 @ 2:58pm. 

Charge:  
Warrant - Failure to Appear on 10/18/16 for Domestic Abuse Battery

     Brodney T Willams was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Willams was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

John Q Lyons, 51 years of age, Address: Irish Bend Rd. Franklin, La. was arrested on 10/21/2016 @ 4:15pm. 

Charge:  
Theft of Utilties

     Officers responded to a residence on Glenwood Street in regard to a report of theft of utilities. The officers arrived and during an investigation, reports indicated that officers observed that the electrical meter for the residence had been pulled off and power illegally activated for the residence. Reports indicate contact was made with John Q Lyons inside the residence who addmitted to officers to remomving the electrical meter. Lyons was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Lucio M Garcia-Perez, 31 years of age, Address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/22/2016 @ 1:28am. 

Charge:  
Illegal Discharging of a Firearm Within City Limits

     Officers responded to a residence on Railroad Avenue in regard to a report of several gun shots from the residence. The officers arrived and located Lucio M Garcia Perez inside the residence. During an investigaiton, reports indicate that officers uncovered evidence connecting Garcia-Perez with the alleged fired gunshots. Officers also located an alligator at the residence which was believed to have been shot by Garcia-Perez. Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries was notifiy who responded to took legal action in regard to the alligator.  Garcia-Perez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Gerald Neddie Jr., 44 years of age, Address: Madison Ave. Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 10/22/2016 @ 12:39pm. 

Charge: 
 Warrant - Failure to Appear on February 6, 2013 for Criminal Neglect of Family

     Gerald Neddie was located by officers in the area of Railroad Avenue near Eleventh Street where Neddie was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial District Court. Neddie was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Joshua C Driskill, 24 years of age, Address: St. Clair St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/22/2016 @ 1:32pm. 

Charge:  
Domestic Abuse Battery Child-Endangerment Law

     Officers responded to the intersection of Sixth Street and Brashear Avenue in regard to a male subject commiting a battery on a female. The officers arrived when they located Joshua C Driskill and a female later identified as the victim of a battery. Reports indicate that officers were told by the victim and an off duty police officer who had witnessed the incident that Joshua C Driskill was observed committing a battery on the female. The investigaiton also revealed that the incident happened while in the presence of a small child  according to reports. Driskill was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Tara Loupe, 36 years of age, Address: Susan Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/22/2016 @ 5:00pm.

Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
                Criminal Trespassing
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

John S Henry, 31 years of age, Address: Susan Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/22/2016 @ 5:00pm. 

Charges: 
 Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
                  Criminal Trespassing
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Officers responded to a residence on Glenwood Street in regard to a report of a residential burglary. The officers arrived and spoke with the complainant who told officers that as he/she was returning home when John S Henry was observed exiting the residence. Henry then fled the area jumping several fences in the neighborhood and was observed getting into a vehicle driven by Tara Loupe and fleeing the area. Officers were further told the Henry had been removed from the residence by officers the previous night and was instructed not to return. A description was provided when officers located Loupe and Henry in the area moments later. During an investigation, reports indicate that officers uncovered evidence of Loupe and Henry's involvment in the alleged burglary.  Both Henry and Loupe were placed under arrest and searched when officers located suspected drug paraphernalia. Henry and Loupe were transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated. 

Fernando Soto, 52 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/23/2016 @ 12:38pm.

Charge:  
Simple Battery

     Officers responded to an address on Railroad Avenue in regard to a reported fight. The officers arrived when they observed a subject later identified as Fernando Soto chasing another subject later identified as the victim of a battery. Both subject were detained for pending investgation. During the investigation, reports indicated that officers were told that Soto began arguing and was alleged to have committed a battery on the victim. The victim attempted to flee the area as Soto contiunued to chase the victim on foot according to reports. Soto was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Trampas J LaPoint, 29 years of age, Address: Hilda St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/23/2016 @ 2:41pm. 

Charge: 
Warrant - Telephone Harssment 

     Trampas J LaPoint was located by officers at a residence on Hilda Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on September 11, 2016 of alleged telephone harassment. LaPoint was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Wanda K Warden, 44 years of age, Address: Veterans Blvd. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/23/2016 @ 3:05pm. 

Charges: 
 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Possession of a Legend Drug (Gabapentin)
                  Possession of Hydrocodone

     Officers responded to Seventh Street in regard to suspicios vehicle reported in the area. As officers arrived, the vehicle attempted to leave the area when a traffic stop was conducted and Wanda K Warden was identified as an occupant of the vehicle. During an investigation, reports indicated that Warden's behavior arroused the officer's suspicions that Warden may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search was conducted when officers located suspected drug paraphernalia, gabapentin and hydrocodone on Warden. Warden was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated. 

Trampas J LaPoint, 29 years of age, Address: Hilda St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/23/2016 @ 5:42pm. 

Charge:  
Warrant - Violation of a Protective Order

     Trampas L LaPoint was located by officers at a residence on Hilda Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial District Court. LaPoint was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period. 

Matthew J Garces, 26 years of age, Address: Carter St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/19/2016 @ 12:49am. 

Charges:  
Possession of Cocoaine
                  Introduction of Contraband Into a Penal Institute
                  Resisting An Officer
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Battery on a Police Officer

     Matthew J Garces was located by officers at an address on Hwy 182 where he was placed under arrest on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Reports indicate that officers attempted to place Garces in hand cuffs when Garces began to resist and fight with officers. After short struggle, officers where able to place Garces in cuffs and was tranpsported to the Morgan City Jail for booking. During booking, a thorough search of Garces person was conducted when officers located suspected cocaine. Garces was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

Dominique K Singleton, 27 years of age, Address: John Henry Dr. Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 10/20/2016 @ 2:11am. 

Charges:  Warrant - Failue to Appear for Domestic Abuse Battery
                  Resisting An Officer

     Dominique K Singleton was identified as an occupant of a vehicle during a traffic investigation. Reports indicate that Singleton at first gave officers a false name but that officers learned of Singleton's true identity moments later. A warrants check revealed that Singleton had an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court.  Singleton was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated. 

Terrell E Poole, 25 years of age, Address: Ramos St. Siracusaville, La. was arrested on 10/20/2016 @ 3:27am. 

Charges:  Warrant - Domestic Abuse Battery (MCPD)
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Possession of Marijuana (16th JDC)
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (6th Ward)

     Terrell E Poole was located by officers in the area of Fourth Street and Duke Street where he was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department, the 16th Judicial District Court and the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Poole was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and accordingly.
