The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 07/11/2014:
Alfred J. Francois, 47 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/11/2014 @ 4:00pm
Charge: Warrant:Failure to Pay Fine-Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated; Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Criminal Damage to Property; Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Contempt of Court
Alfred Francois, who was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility was arrested and booked on additional warrants. He was processed and remains incarcerated.
Shannon Brown, 31 years of age, Address-Birch St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/11/2014 @ 11:43pm
Charge: Criminal Damage to Property (Value $400.00); Disturbing the Peace
Officers were dispatched to a Birch St. residence regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived to learn from witnesses and victim that a female, Shannon Brown came to the residence and began to cause a disturbance. It is alleged that Brown exited a vehicle and started screaming at the complainant causing the complainant to take refuge in the residence at which time Brown went to the door and started beating on the door, eventually breaking the glass panes of the door. Brown was located on Birch St. and placed under arrest. The value of the damages was estimated at $400.00.
Thomas D. Remedies, 21 years of age, Address-Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/12/2014 @ 9:37am
Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2nd Offense)
Officers were dispatched to the area of Second St. in regards to a possible vehicle burglary and arrived to locate a suspect, Thomas Remedies. Remedies was found to be in possession of a pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics. After determining that the complainant declined to pursue charges for a burglary, officers arrested Remedies regarding the item found. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Courtland J. Fullwood, 26 years of age, Address-Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/12/2014 @ 10:43am
Charge: Warrant: St. Mary Parish-Theft of Goods
Officers investigating a complaint in the area of Barrow St. located Courtland Fullwood who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department. Fullwood was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Charles Anthony Preece, 25 years of age, Address-River Rd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/12/2014 @ 11:52am
Charge:Taking Contraband into a Penal Institution
Officers conducted a security search of a cell inside the jail facility at the Morgan City Police Department. During that search, officers located a lighter, tobacco products and a small amount of what appeared to be synthetic cannabinoids hidden inside the cell. Charles Preece, an occupant of the cell identified the items as his was arrested and remains incarcerated.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
Officers were dispatched to an Aucoin St. residence regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived to learn that two subjects, David Aucoin and Robert Gussman had been involved in a fistic encounter. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
Monique N. Landry, 19 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/12/2014 @ 3:01pm
Charge: Cruelty to Juveniles (Felony)
Officers were dispatched to a Fourth St. residence regarding a child welfare concern. Officers arrived to locate the complainant and witness who told the officers that they were concerned about the welfare of a four month old infant who was in an unhealthy condition and being mistreated by the mother, Monique Landry. Officers were advised that the child had received needed medical treatment for various issues which were, according to complainant, being ignored by Landry. Officers also gathered evidence indicating that the mother, Monique Landry, was observed shaking the child by the arms and causing the infant to strike it's head. Officer contacted the Department of Child Services who dispatched an investigator to intervene. Officers ultimately located Landry who was eventually arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department are continuing the investigation in conjunction with Child Services.
Kenneth R. Faulkner, 49 years of age, Address-Sea Isle Galveston, Tx. was arrested on 07/12/2014 @ 3:50pm
Charge: Warrant: Iberia Parish Sheriffs Department-Cyberstalking
Kennth Faulkner, who arrived at the Morgan City Police Department to report of a theft of a laptop computer. Upon checking warrants on Faulkner, the officer uncovered a warrant in the N.C.I. C. computer database indicating that Faulkner was wanted by Iberia Parish authorities. Faulkner was arrested and incarcerated.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
Alvin Francois and Victor Portillo were arrested at a Brashear Ave. motel after officers were dispatched to the area in regards to a fight. Both Francois and Portillo, according to witness and physical evidence had been involved in a fistic encounter causing a disturbance. They were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Warrant; St. Mary Parish-Failure to Comply with Conditions of Drug Court
A patrolling officer located Wesley Clark in the area of Shannon St. and Egle St. and placed him under arrest on an outstanding warrant which the officer was aware of. The subject, Clark was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Daniel E. Vanddusen, 49 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/13/2014 @ 7:26am
Charge: Disturbing the Peace; Aggravated Assault

Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 residence regarding a subject who had threatened another with a gun. Officers arrived and learned from the victim that he was approached by a subject attempting to sell tools. According to the victim, whe he declined, the subject began to argue the matter and eventually left in a vehicle. The complainant advised that as the subject began to pull away, the subject stopped, exited the vehicle and produced a handgun which he pulled the slide and began to walk towards the complainant. The subject then stopped and turned around and left the area. Officers located the vehicle and subject in the area and identified him as Daniel Vanddusen. During a search of the suspects vehicle, a pellet gun was recovered. The subject, Vanddusen was arrested and transported to the Mrogan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Chancey M. Green, 25 years of age, Address-Lafayette, La. was arrested on 07/13/2014 @ 9:00pm
Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Speeding
Chancy Green was transported to the Morgan City Police Department from the Law Enforcement Center to be booked on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. She was booked and incarcerated.
Earnest Ladday Jr., 58 years of age, Address-Patterson, La. was arrested on 07/14/2014 @ 6:05am
Charge: Simple Battery
Earness Ladday Jr. was arrested after officers received a complaint of a disturbance on Levee Rd. in Morgan City. Officers arrived and learned that Ladday had become involved in a verbal altercation with a female at that location and during the altercation, slapped the female on the face. He was arrested and transported to the Mrogan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
