Arrest Report 03/12/2014

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 03/11/2014:

 

Jason L. Crews, 30 years of age, Address-Amelia, La. was arrested on 03/11/2014 @ 6:48pm

Charge: Attempted Unauthorized Entry into an Inhabited Dwelling; Criminal Trespass

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Lake Palourde Drive in Morgan City in regards to a suspicious subject looking into windows of residences.  Officers arrived and learned from a resident that they had went to investigate dogs barking at their residence and located a hispanic male peeking into the window of the residence and attempting to gain entry into a rear door.  The homeowner confronted the subject who then left the premises.  Officers searched the area and located the subject in question, identified as Jason Crews.  He was postively identified and placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated with no bond yet set. 

 

     A 15 year old male juvenile was arrested on 03/11/2014 @ 7:48am in the area of Sandra St. after officers received a complaint that the juvenile was being uncontrollable and refusing to attend school.  the juvenile fled from the residence through a rear window and was later located on Sandra St.  He was placed under arrest  and charged with Uncontrollable Juvenile and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and released to parent until court proceedings. 

 

     A 17 year old male subject was arrested on 03/10/2014 @ 2:30pm for an outstanding warrant for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things under $500.00.  The subject was arrested after officers were dispatched to a Railroad Avenue residence for a disturbance.  The male subject who was reportedly involved in the disturbance was located and found to be wanted for an outstanding warrant for an alleged theft of a cell phone from another student at the Morgan City High School.  The subject, who was a juvenile at the time of the incident was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and released to guardian pending court proceedings.
