Arrest Report 06/06/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 06/05/2014:

 

 

Myrissa L. Girard, 18 years of age, Address-Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/05/2014 @ 8:56 pm

Charge: Improper Lighting; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Skylia R. Concienne, 19 years of age, Address-Belanger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/05/2014 @ 8:56 pm

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Federal Ave. near Belanger St. with improper lighting and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Myrissa Girard.  While speaking with the driver and the occupant, Skylia Concienne, officers became suspicious that the subjects may possess marijuana, a Schedule I controlled substance.  During a search of the suspects and vehicle, officers located suspected marijuana along with several items of drug paraphernalia.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
