Arrest Report 07/07/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 07/03/2014:

 

 

Devan N. Serpa, 29 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/03/2014 @ 4:24pm

Charge: Warrant: Principal to Illegal Use of a Weapon or Dangerous Instrumentality; Principle to Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property

Charge: Obscenity

     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department secured an arrest warrant for Devan Serpa in a continuation of an investigation into a shooting which took place in the Oak St. area of Morgan City which was reported on June 27, 2014.  In that incident, several shots were reportedly fired damaging two vehicles and entering an Oak St. residence.  In that incident, there were no injuries reported.  Serpa was developed as a suspect and ultimately identified as a person which was involved.  She was located at the Mrogan City Police Department where she was arrested by Detectives.  Once being incarcerated, Serpa exposed her genital area to a male correctional officer during booking procedures and was additionally charged with Obscenity.  She remains incarcerated.

 

 

Dakota N. Mccloy, 18 years of age, Address-Belanger St. in Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/03/2014 @ 9:12pm

Charge: Hit & Run Driving; Reckless Operation of a Moving Vehicle

     Officers responded to a Hit & Run crash in the area of Levee Rd.  After arrival and further investigation, it was learned that a vehicle left the roadway, striking another parked vehicle and fled the scene.  Officers were able to locate the suspects vehicle in the area and identify the driver, Dakota Mccloy who was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  There were no injuries related to the crash. 

 

 

Alicia R. Bertrand, 28 years of age, Address-Ninth St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 07/05/2014 @ 5:27pm

Charge: Theft of Goods (Value $77.33)
Charge: Warrant: Theft by Shoplifting

Officers responded to a complaint of a shoplifter at a Highway 182 supermarket.  Officers were advised that a female, Alicia Bertrand had placed several items valued at $77.33 in her purse and attempted to leave the premises without paying for the items before being stopped by store employees.  Bertrand was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.  During booking, an outstanding warrant was located for the subject under an alias of Alicia Kelly for Theft by Shoplifting.  Alicia Bertrand, aka-Alicia Kelly was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Ian Francis, 53 years of age, Address-Jacobs St.Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/05/2014 @ 10:15pm

Charge: Hit & Run Driving

     Officers responded to a vehicle crash in the area of First St. and Railroad Ave. in Morgan City.  When officers arrived, they were advised by witnesses that a vehicle had struck a parked vehicle.  The witnesses advised that the driver and passenger appeared to look in the direction of the crash, then leave the scene. Witnesses provided a description of the vehicle.  Officers were able to locate the vehicle and observed damages as described and consistant with a vehicle crash.  The driver of the vehicle, Ian Francis was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  He was released after posting a cash bond. There were no injuries related to the vehicle crash. 

 

 

Carlos D. Uribina, 40 years of age, Address-First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/05/2014 @ 11:34am

Charge: No Drivers License

     Officers responded to complaint of a vehicle being driven in a wreckless manner in the area of Martin Luther King Dr. in Morgan City.  Officers located the vehicle as described and identified the driver as Carlos Uribina.  Uribina could not provide a valid drivers license and was placed under arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Andra D. Wilson, 28 years of age, Address-Louisiana St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/06/2014 @ 1:55pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace-Loud Annoying or Profane Words to Another

Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a Highway 182 motel and arrived to investigate.  Andra Wilson was located at the location and was advised to leave the premises.  Wilson, who continued to use loud and profane language was given an opportunity to leave the premises and was order to calm the disturbance.  She continued to use and shout loud profane language in the presence of others as well as several children in the area.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Carlos Cespedes, 48 years of age, Address-Victor II Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/06/2014 @ 9:21pm

Charge: Warrant: Domestic Abuse Battery

     Carlos Cespedes was located at his residence and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
