Arrest Report 07/09/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 07/08/2014:

 

 

Therina L. Russell, 39 years of age, Address-Highway 182 E. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/08/2014 @ 2:14pm

Charge: Theft of Goods (Value $19.99)

     Officers responded to a complaint of a theft at a Highway 182 supermarket.  They arrived to learn that store employees had detained a female who attempted to leave the premises without properly paying for an item valued at $19.99.  The female, Therina Russell was detained by the officer and placed under arrest for the theft.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. She was released on a cash bond. 

 

 

Kristin A. Sanders, 23 years of age, Address-Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/08/2014 @ 2:30pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear for Seat Belt Violation; Warrant: Seat Belt Violation; Warrant: Failure to Appear for No Drivers License in Possession 

     Kristin Sanders was located in the City Court complex of the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  She was escorted to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. She was released after posting a cash bond. 

 

 

Germany D. Broussard, 35 years of age, Address-Leona St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/08/2014 @ 4:05 pm

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery; Simple Criminal Damage to Property

     Officers were dispatched to a Leona St. residence in regards to a 911 hang up call.  Officers arrived to find a female victim who advised that a subject, Germany Broussard had entered her residence by damaging a window to gain entry.  They subject advised that Broussard was discovered in the bedroom of the residence and subsequently began to strike the female victim and threaten her.  Officers located Germany Broussard at a nearby residence and discovered that he was in an impaired condition.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Floyd Victor, 38 years of age, Address-Ann St. Bayou L'Ourse, La. was arrested on 07/08/2014 @ 4:37pm

Charge: Reckless Operation of a Moving Vehicle; Driving Under Suspension; Warrant: Fugitive-Assumption  Parish-DWI, Hit&Run; Warrant: Golden Meadow P.D.-Contempt of Court

     An off duty police officer observed a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner in the area of Fifth St. and Everette St.  The vehicle was observed spinning it's tires and driving at a high rate of speed in an area congested with bystanders and children.  The off duty officer contacted the Morgan City Police Department.  Officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle at a residence located in the 600 block of Fifth St.  During questioning, the driver, Floyd Victor initially attempted to conceal the fact that he was the driver of the vehicle but later admitted to operating the vehicle.  It was learned that Victor had a suspended drivers license and was wanted on other outstanding warrants for various agencies.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Wade Rhodes, 52 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/08/2014 @ 5:54pm

Charge: Warrant: St. Mary S.O.-Probation Violation

     Wade Rhodes was located by a patrolling officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Onstead St. and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  Rhodes was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
