Arrest Report 07/15/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 07/13/2014:

Jesse Hart, 21 years of age, Address-Blum Blvd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/14/2014 @ 8:19am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Comply with Terms of Drug Court; Resisting an Officer

Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious subject in the parking lot near Teche Regional Hospital.  The subject was loitering in and around the parked vehicles there.  Officers arrived in the area and located the subject and identified him as Jesse Hart.  As officer began speaking with Hart, the subject turned and fled on foot away from the officers.  The officers pursued the subject and eventually used a Taser to apprahend him.  Jesse Hart was found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for a Drug Court violation and arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Jonathon C. Murray, 29 years of age, Address-Southeast Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/14/2014 @ 3:15pm

Charge: Warrant: Probation Violation; Warrant; Failure to Pay Fine-Reckless Operation with an Accident

Jonathon Murray was located at the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, La. where he was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and booked on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Departmen.  He was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Janet C. Rock, 38 years of age, Address-Jeddo Street Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/14/2014 @ 7:47pm

Charge: Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon

A patrolling officer was flagged down and summoned to a Second St. residence regarding a disturbance.  Officers arrived and were advised by the complainant that a female, Janet Rock had committed a battery on another subject using a hand held stun gun type device.  Officers began their investigation and located Janet Rock at her residence in Berwick.  She was questioned and admitted using a stun gun device in the incident.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan  City Police Department where she remains incarcerated. 

 

 

Eliza P. Williams, 24 years of age, Address-Louisiana St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/14/2014 @ 8:14pm

Charge: Warrant; Failure to Comply with Drug Court

Eliza Williams was located at an Adams St. residence by an officer and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for failure to comply with terms of Drug Court.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.
