Arrest Report 07/17/2014

The following person were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 07/16/201:

 

 

Henry L. Randle, 32 years of age, Address-Franklin, La. was arrested on 07/16/2014 @ 11:44am

Charge: Simple Battery

Officers were dispatched to a Brownell Homes residence regarding a disturbance.  Investigating officers learned that a male subject, Henry Randle allegedly became involved in a confrontation with a female at that location and is accused of striking the female causing minor injury.  Randle was located and placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

 

 

 

Darrell J. Sides, 39 years of age, Address-Keith St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/16/2014 @ 12:59 pm

Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

Officers were dispatched to the area of Catherine St. and Roderick St. regarding a suspicious subject.  Officer arrived in the area to locate the subject, Darrell Sides.  Sides appeared to be in an impaired condition and intoxicated according to the report.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Tina Collier, 49 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/16/2014 @ 2:29pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Drug Court; Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine

Tina Collier who was being housed in the Morgan City Jail facility was found to be wanted on two outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department as well as the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department.  She was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Michael J. Dines, 43 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/17/2014 @ 4:28 am

Charge: Illegal Discharge of a Firearm; Resisting an Officer

Officers were dispatched to a Fourth St. residence stating that the complainant was locked in a bedroom in the residence while a male subject, Michael Dines was attempting to break into the room with a gun in his hand.  Officers arrived at the residence and encountered the male subject, Michael Dines at the front door of the residence.  The subject refused commands by officers to step from the residence with his hands in view.  Officer were able to determine that the subject no longer possessed the weapon and attempted to take the subject into custody, however, Dines refused to cooperate and had to be physically subdued.  Officers then located the complainant who was uninjured inside the residence. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the suspect, Dines, had discharged a firearm inside the residence during the disturbance.  Officers located and seized a .45 cal. handgun which was reported as the weapon used. Dines was arrested, and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
