MCPD Arrest Report 07/02/2021
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 47 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 07/01/2021:
Callen Slay Richard, 24, address: Saturn Rd. Morgan City, LA was arrested on 07 /01/2021 at 5:03 am.
Charge: Aggravated Burglary
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Attempted Armed Robbery
Attempted Armed Robbery with a Firearm
Resisting an Officer
Brennan Tatum, 24, address: Substation St. Pierre Part, LA was arrested on 07/01/2021 at 5:03 am.
Charge: Aggravated Burglary
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Attempted Armed Robbery
Attempted Armed Robbery with a Firearm
Resisting an Officer
Officers responded to a residence on Marshall St. in regards to burglary in progress. Officers arrived and were able to subdue two individuals that were seen running from the residence. Officers were able to identify the individuals as Callen Richard and Brennan Tatum. Tatum was found to be in possession of a firearm when searched by officers. According to reports, the two individuals forced their way into the home and demanded money from the victim. The victim did sustain minor injuries and was transported to medical facility for treatment. Richard and Tatum were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jarod P. Loupe, 43, address: Rose St. Berwick, LA was arrested on 07/01/2021 at 3:07 pm.

Patricia Thomas, 49, address: Bowman St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on 07/01/2021 at 10:14 am.
Charge: Possession of Methamphetamine
