MCPD Arrest Report 06/21/2016

The following person was arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 06/20/2016.

Jorge Sanchez, 30 years of age, Address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/20/2016 @ 11:14pm. 

Charges:  Domestic Abuse Battery
                  Domestic Abuse Child-Endangerment

     Officers responded to a residence on Terrebonne Street in regard to a report of a domestic disturbance. The officers arrived and located an adult female who was later identified as the victim of a battery, a female child 2 years of age and Jorge Sanchez. During an investigation the officers were told that the adult female and Sanchez were involved in a verbal argument when Sanchez allegedly committed a battery on the adult female while in the presence of the child. During conversations with officers, Sanchez was suspected to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Sanchez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
