MCPD Arrest Report 07/11/2016
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 07/08/2016:
Jahmarcus L. Paddio, 19 years of age, Address-Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/08/2016 @ 11:20 am.
Charge: Warrant- Monetary Instrument Abuse
Warrant-Theft under $750.00
Jahmarcus Paddio was located on Freret St. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an incident in June of 2016, in which, it is alleged that Paddio used a counterfiet one hundred dollar bill to purchase items from a local business. Paddio was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
David J. Belitz, 52 years of age, Address- Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/08/2016 @ 7:23 pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Use of Offensive Language
Officers responded to a residence on Second St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses who stated that Belitz had come on to their property using profanities. According to reports, Belitz was asked several times to refrain from using the profanities, but continued. Belitz was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Departmet for booking and incarceration.
Harry Irvin Jr., 49 years of age, Address- Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/09/2016 @ 2:55 am.
Charge: Possession of Scheduled II CDS (Cocaine)

Resisting an Officer
Officers located Irvin in the area of Sixth St. and Brashear Ave. Reports indicate that officers located suspected cocaine on Irvin's person. After locating the suspected cocaine, Irvin began to resist officers, but was subdued. A glass pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics was also located on Irvin. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Frank M. Adams, 24 years of age, Address- Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/09/2016 @ 10:55 am.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (3rd Offense)
Danny P. Dupuy, 37 years of age, Address- Julia St. Amelia, La. was arrested on 07/06/2016 @ 10:55 am.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Officers were dispatched to a local motel on Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance. While in route to the location, information was given that the individuals causing the distrubance had left in a vehicle. A description of the vehicle was given out and officers located a vehicle fitting the description in the area of Hwy 182 and Myrtle St. The driver of the vehicle, Danny Dupuy was asked about the incident and stated he had gotten into a veral altercation with an individual. According to reports, Dupuy appeared nervous and it aroused the officer's suspicions that he might be involved in illegal activity. The passenger of the vehicle, Frank Adams was asked to exit. Dupuy gave officers consent to search the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, officers located suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. . Both Dupuy and Adams were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Melissa Evans, 46 years of age, Address-Mill Rd. Patterson, La. was arrested on 07/09/2016 @ 7:22 pm.
Charge: Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense)
Careless Operation
Officers were dispatched to Front St. in regards to a vehicle crash. Officers arrived and spoke to the driver, Melissa Evans. According to reports, Evans stated that she was traveling north on Front St. and crashed into a parked vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway. Reports also indicated that Evans appeared intoxicated. Evans was given the standardized field soberity test, in which, she preformed poorly. Evans was placed under arrest and transported the Morgan City Police Department to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Evans blood alcohol content was .000 g%. Evans was then transported to a local hospital where she was asked to submit to a blood test, due to the suspicion of prescription medication use. Evans complied and was then transported back to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarcertion.
Tyler M. Kapp, 25 years of age, Address- Crenshaw St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/09/2016 @ 11:08 pm.

A officer on patrol in the area of Hwy 182 near the US 90 Junction, noticed a vehicle without any headlights. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Tyler Kapp was asked to produce a valid driver's license. During the course of the investigation, Kapp gave officers consent to search his vehicle. Inside the vehicle, officers located suspected marijuana and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. Kapp was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for bookimg and incarceration.
