The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 09/06/2016.

Donovan P Mabile, 32 years of age, Address: Derrick St. Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 09/06/2016 @ 9:29am. 

Charge:  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Theft of a Firearm

     Donovan P Mabile was located by officers on La Hwy 70 where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. Mabile was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Carlette Singleton, 53 years of age, Address: Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/06/2016 @ 11:55am.

Charge:  Warrant - Disturbing the Peace by Fighting

     Carlette Singleton turned herself in to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on February 10, 2016 of alleged disturbing the peace. Singleton was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

Ashley Jones, 35 years of age, Address: Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/06/2016 @ 1:10pm. 

Charges:  Warrant - Simple Battery
                  Warrant - Contempt of Court

     Ashley Jones turned herself in to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department and the 6th Ward Morgan City Cout.  The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on February 10, 2016 of an alleged simple battery. Jones was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

Joshua A Falgout, 37 years of age, Address: Sycamore St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/06/2016 @ 4:42pm. 

Charges: Window Tint Violation
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
                 Obstruction of Justice

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on US 90 with window tint which obtructed the inward view of the vehicle. The officer attempted to conducted a traffic stop when the vehicle took the Martin Luther King Blvd. exit and stopped near Allison Street. Reports indicate that as the driver later identified as Joshua A Falgout exited the vehicle, suspected drug paraphernalia fell to the ground at the drivers door. Falgout was detained and the driver door window tint check with a tint meter with an 11% reading in violation of the 40% state required minimum.  A firearm was also located in the roadway of Falgout's path. During an investigation, evidence was obtained which supported suspicions that Falgout had discarded the firearm as the officer was attempted to conduct that traffic stop. Falgout, a convicted felon was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgna City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Alex J C Theriot, 26 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/06/2016 @ 4:44pm. 

Charge:  Warrant - Probation Violation

     Alex J C Theriot was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Theriot was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

Curtis A Richard, 39 years of age, Address: Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/06/2016 @ 5:46pm. 

Charges:  Unlawful Possession of Fraudulent Documents
                  Identity Theft
                  Theft

     An officer responded to a local business on Brashear Avenue in regard to subject inside with document which appeared to be fraudulent. The officer arrived when the officer spoke with business employees and Curtis A Richard who had attempted to cash a suspect fraudulent check. During an investigation, reports indicate that evidence was obtained which supported that Richard had attempted to cash stolen checks using a fraudulent identification card. Richard was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
