MCPD Arrest Report 09/09/2016

The following person was arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 09/08/2016.

Zachariah George, 62 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/08/2016 @ 8:03pm. 

Charges:  Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
                  Criminal Trespassing

     Officers responded to a apartment complex on Hwy 182 in regard to a subject possibly inside one of the apartments that was not supposed to be on the property. The officers arrived where they spoke with several witnesses including the owner of the property who told officers that Zachariah George was believed to be inside one of the apartments. Officers were further told that George had previously been evicted from the apartment and that he had returned earlier that day when he was removed and told not to return. Officer entered the apartment where they located George inside. George was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
