The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 09/19/2016. 

Tabor Stacy A 09192016

Stacey A Tabor, 34 years of age, Address: Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/19/2016 @ 9:05pm. 


Charges:  Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute
                  Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute
                  Possession of Clonazepam With Intent to Distribute
                  Possession of Zolpidem With Intent to Distribute
                  Possession of Adderall With Intent to Distribute
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Transaction Involving Proceeds from CDS Activity
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws (drug free zone)
                  Warrant -  Hold for Probation and Parole Violation

     The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Unit along with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narctoics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Egle Street in Morgan City. Investigators entered the residence and located Stacey A Tabor who was identified as an occupant of the residence. A search of the residence was conducted when according to reports investigators located suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, clonazepam, zolpidem and adderall all of which were suspected to be intended for distribution. Investigators also located suspected drug paraphernalia along with U.S. Currency which was believed to have been obtained from the sales of illegal narctoics. The location of the incident was within the area of a durg free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Tabor was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated. A hold was placed on Tabor by Probation and Parole. 

James Nicholas, 38 years of age, Address: Birch St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/20/2016 @ 2:35am. 

Charge:  Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     A patrolling officer observed a subject walking in the area of Grizzaffi Street near a local convenience store who appeared to be stumbling. The officer spoke with the subject identified as James Nicholas. Reports indicate that Nicholas was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Nicholas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
