Jason R Cavalier, 39 years of age, Address: Cremo Ln. Patterson, La. was arrested on 09/22/2016 @ 10:12am.
Charges: Simple Assault
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
An officer responded to a residence on Roderick Street in regard to a reported assault. The officer arrived when the officer spoke with the victim and witnesses to the incident. The officer was told Jason R Cavalier had threatened to commit bodily harm to the victim and another family member. The officer was also told that Cavalier was believed to be under the influence of narcotics. Officers patroled the area and located Cavalier in the area moments later. Reports indicate that Cavalier was uncooperative and aggressive toward the officers. Cavalier was placed under arrest when officers located suspected drug paraphernalia on Cavalier. Cavalier was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Elmer D V Reyes, 22 years of age, Address: Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/23/2016 @ 2:18am.
Charges: Improper Lane Usage
Driving While Intoxicated
Unlawful Possession of Fraudulent Documents
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Raiload Avenue traveling out of its proper lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducated was conducted when the driver was asked to produce a drivers license. The driver produced an identification card which according to reports was determined to be a fraudulent identification card. The driver who was later identified as Elmer D V Reyes was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Reyes was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing which Reyes refused. Reyes was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
