Damain Turner, 37 years of age, Address- Houma, La, was arrested on 09/23/2016 @ 5:43 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana- 1st offense
Possession of Sch II CDS Methamphetamine
Violation of Uniform CDS Law-Drug Free Zone
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Percy K Howard
Percy K. Howard, 23 years of age, Address- Houma, La. was arrested on 09/23/2016 @ 5:43 p. Charge: Ilegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of Narcotics
Possession of Sch II CDS Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute over 28 grams

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division along with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hwy 182 and Myrle St on a vehicle, in which information was received was involved in illegal drug activity. The driver of the vehicle identified as Percy Howard and the passenger, Damain Turner were asked to exit the vehicle. A pat down was done on both individuals and located on Turner was suspected marijuana and suspected methamphetamine. During the course of the investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted. Items located inside the vehicle were a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun, large amount of suspected Methamphetamine package for sale, US Currency over $400 and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. Both Howard and Turner were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Sahikumar Patel, 28 years of age, Address- Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/24/2016 @ 3:02 am.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace- Use of Offensive Language
Officers were dispatched to a local business on Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and came into contact with Sahikumar Patel. Patel was invovled in a verbal altercation with another individual. Patel was asked several times by officers to calm down and stop using profanities, he continued. Patel was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Patrick W. Miller, 51 years of age, Address- Belenger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/25/2016 @ 12:25 am.
Charge: Simple Battery
Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in Motor Vehicle
Officers responded to a residence on Sixth St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and detained Patrick Miller. According to witnesses statments, Miller began arguing with another individual. The arugment escalated and Miller punched the individual in the facial area. Officers did notice signs of a battery on the victim. While talking to Miller, officers noticed an open bottle of an alcoholic beverage inside of Miller's vehicle. Miller was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Dunia M. Sorgando, 36 years of age, Address- Village Ln. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/25/2016 @ 8:16 am.
Charge: General Speed Law
Stop Sign Violation
No Driver's License
A patrol officer in the area of Victor II Blvd and David Dr. observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, also the vehicle did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Victor II and Myrtle St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Dunia Sorgando was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Sorgando did not have a valid driver's license. Sorgando was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jasmine Washington, 32 years of age, Addresss- Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/25/2016 @ 9:06 am.
Charge: Theft of Goods
Officers responded to a local business on Brashear Ave. in regards to a theft. Officers arrived and were given a description of a female that ran out of the store with unpaid items. Officers located the female fitting the description in the area of Willard St. along with items taken from the store, which valued at $25.14. Washington was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
