MCPD Arrest Report 10/07/2016

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 10/06/2016: 

Mary Von-Buelow Nelson, 44 years age, Address- Belanger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/06/2016 @ 7:51 am. 

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Use of Offensive Language
               Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

   Officers responded to a residence on Belanger St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses, who according to reports, stated that Mary Nelson was outside of her residence yelling profanities. Reports also indicated that officers had gone to the residence earlier that morning for Nelson causing a disturbance. Officers were unable to locate Nelson, but was given a description of the vehicle she was driving. Officers located Nelson in the area of Marguerite St., she was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. Once at the police department, officers located several bags of suspected marijuana inside of Nelson's purse. Nelson was additionally charged and incarcerated. 

Shannon M. Johnson, 30 years of age, Address- Knight St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/06/2016 @ 3:25 pm. 

Charge:  Warrant- No Driver's License

   A patrol officer in the area of Adams St. and Federal Ave, observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Shannon Johnson, was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A local warrants check was done on Johnson and it was determinded that she held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Tayler J. Davis, 18 years of age, Address- Natalie Lane Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/06/2016 @ 3:47 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Appear (Disturbing the Peace)
                Warrant- Failure to Appear (Remaining Where Forbidden)

   Tayler Davis was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Davis was booked and incarcerated.
