MCPD Arrest Report 10/12/2016
Markeisha Hamilton, 22 years of age, Address: Gum St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 10/11/2016.
Charge: Simple Battery (2 Counts)
Markeisha Hamilton who was currently incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail was booked on additional charges of two counts of simple battery. A correctional officer heard a disturbance in one of the cells and observed two female inmates involved in an argument one being Markeisha Hamilton. Reports indicate that the correctional officer observed Hamilton committing a battery on two of the inmates. Hamilton was booked on additional charges of simple battery.
Billie Driskell, 40 years of age, Address: Park Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2016 @ 9:38pm.
Charge: Warrant - Contempt of Court
Billie Driskell was located by officers at an address on Victor II Blvd. where she was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Driskell was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
James R A Albert, 47 years of age, Address: Watson St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2016 @ 10:40pm.
Charge: Simple Battery
Officers responded to a local lounge on Hwy 182 in regard to a reported fight. The officers arrived when they located James R A Albert who was being detained by several witnesses to the incident. The officers spoke with a subject later identified as the victim of a battery along with several witnesses to the incident. The officers were told that James R A Albert was inisde the lounge making rude comments to a subject which resulted in an argument. During the argument, reports indicate that Albert allegedly committed a battery on the victim when Albert was detained by patrons inside the lounge and police notified. Albert who appeared to be intoxicated was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
