MCPD Arrest Report 11/03/2016

The following person were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 11/02/2016.

John D Dwyer, 59 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/02/2016 @ 9:38pm.

Charge: Simple Battery

     Officers responded to a local lounge on Hwy 182 in regard to a call of an assault. Officers arrived when they spoke with a subject later identified as the victim of a battery along with several witnesses to the incident. The officers were told that the victim was approached by a male subject identified as John D Dwyer at when Dwyer committed a batter on the victim. A description was provided and officers located Dwyer in the area moments later. During an investigation, reports indicate that officers uncovered evidence of the alleged battery. Dwyer was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
