Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle disobey a stop sign at the intersection of Sixth Street at Arenz Street. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Angelle R Broussard. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate it was learned that Broussard did not have a valid drivers license, the license plate displayed was registered to another vehicle and that the vehicle did not have state required insurance. Broussard's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that she may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected drug paraphernalia. Broussard was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Driving While Intoxicated
A patrolling officers observed a vehicle in the area of Sixth Street near Onstead Street traveling out of its proper lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Ever Perez. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that Perez was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Perez was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Perez submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .209 grams percent. Perez was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.
