The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 11/11/2016.

Johnny Knight
Johnny D Knight, 47 years of age, Address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/11/2016 @ 2:49pm.
Charges:  Malfeasance In Office
                 Theft of Assets of an Aged Person

     Johnny D Knight was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Detectives of an incident reported on October 25, 2016 of alleged malfeasance in office and theft of assets of an aged person. The investigation began from a complaint reported by the alleged victim that accused Knight of taking money from the victim while working in a public position. Knight was booked it the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.  

Mary N Von-Buelow, 44 years of age, Address: Belanger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/11/2016 @ 4:17pm.

Charge:  Simple Battery

     Mary N Von-Buelow was located by officers at a residence on Belanger Street where she was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on October 12, 2016 of an alleged battery. Von-Bulow was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Galen W Ford, 24 years of age, Address: Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/11/2016 @ 7:46pm.

Charges:  Speeding 47mph in a 25mph speed zone
                  Improper Equipment (No Rear View Mirrors)
                  Improper Equipment (No Turning Signals)
                  No Motor Vehicle Inspection Sticker

     A patrolling officer observed a motorcycle traveling on Federal Avenue near Belanger Street at a high rate of speed. The officer clocked the motorcycle at 47mph in a 25mph speed zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Galen W Ford. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that the officer observed that the motorcycle did not have a rear view mirror, front turning signals and a motor vehicle inspection sticker which are required by state law. Ford was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Bonnie V Dupre, 27years of age, Address: Franklin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/11/2016 @ 8:08pm.

Charges:  No Tail Lights
                 Driving Under Suspension

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Sixth Street near General McArthur without any tail lights. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Bonnie V Dupre. A drivers license check revealed that Dupre had a suspended drivers license. Dupre was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Meagen A Fisher, 28 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/12/2016 @ 2:31am.

Charges:  Possession of Synthetic Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Illegal Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance While in the Presence of Juveniles

     Officers responded to a residence on Hwy 182 in regard to an unknown medical emergency. The officers arrived and located a male subject who appeared to be in distress and under the influence of narcotics. The male subject was transported to a medical facility for treatment. The officers spoke with a female identified as Meagen A Fisher who was at the residence with a male juvenile 5 year of age and a female juvenile 6 years of age. During an investigation, reports indicate that Fisher told officers that she and the male subject had been using synthetic marijuana at the residence that night with the juveniles present. Fisher allowed officers to search the residence when they located suspected synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Fisher was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Richard Barrick III, 35 years of age, Address: Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/12/2016 @ 7:33pm.

Charges:  Possession of a Schedule II CDS (Crack Cocaine)
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Obstruction of Justice
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws (Drug Free Zone)

     Officers responded to a residence on Egle Street in regard to a welfare concern. The officers arrived and made contact with a male subject identified as Richard Barrick III who resided at the residence and a female subject.  During an investigation, reports indicate that officers observed suspected crack cocaine and paraphernalia in plain view on a dresser. Barrick III, who was suspected have been using synthetic marijuana told officers that he had discarded synthetic marijuana upon the officers arrival according to reports. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Barrick III was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Reagan Bowers, 18 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/13/2016 @ 11:15pm.

Charges:  Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws (Drug Free Zone)
                 Obstruction of Justice
                 Resisting An Officer

     Reagan Bowers was identified by officers as a passenger inside a vehicle during a traffic stop. During an investigation, reports indicate that Bowers aroused the officer's suspicions that she was involved in illegal narcotics activity.  Officers suspected Bowers to have placed illegal narcotics inside her mouth in an attempt to discard them. Officers then recovered some of the substance from Bowers mouth which was identified as suspected marijuana. Bowers was searched when officers located more suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Bowers was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
