MCPD Arrest Report 11/28/2016
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 11/24/2016:
Travis J. Morin, 33 years of age, Address- Shaw Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/24/2016 @ 2:25 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Appear Driving Under Suspension (2cts)
Warrant- Failure to Appear Reckless Operation
Officers located Travis Morin on Eight St. A warrants check was done on Morin and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Morin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Gregory Gros, 54 years of age, Address- Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 11/24/2016 @ 9:21 pm.
Charge: No Insurance
Failure to Report an Accident
Careless Operation
Officers responded to the area of Railroad Ave. near Pecos St. in regards to a vehicle flipped over in a ditch. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses. According to reports, witnesses stated that an individual climbed out of the vehicle and began walking down Railroad Ave. Witnesses gave a description the individual and an individual fitting the description was located on Railroad Ave. near Roderick St. The individual was identified as Gregory Gros and officers noticed that his clothing was wet. Reports indicate that Gros did admit to driving the vehicle. Gros was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Daniel Herrera, 23 years of age, Address- Amelia, La. was arrested on 11/24/2016 @ 7:50 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Probation and Parole Violation (Austin Police Department)
Officers were dispatched to a local motel on Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with Daniel Herrera. A warrants check was done on Herrera and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Austin Police Department in Austin, Tx. Herrera was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jose Castro, 31 years of age, Address- Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/24/2016 11:36 pm.
Charge: No Driver's License
A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on Jose Castro and it was determined that he did not have a valid driver's license. Castro was given a warning by the officer and a licensed driver picked up the vehicle. A short time later, the patrol officer observed Castro driving the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped, Castro was placed under arrest. Castro was transported to the Morgan City Police for booking and incarceration.
Bradford Jones, 38 years of age, Address- Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/25/2016 @ 5:18 am.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Appear for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Bradford Jones was located at his residence. A local warrants check was done on Jones and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Tieyon K. Martinez, 30 years of age, Address- Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/25/2016 @ 10:57 am.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Probation Fee
Tieyon Martinez was located on Eleventh St. A local warrants check was done on Martinez and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Martinez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Javier Santos, 44 years of age, Address- Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/25/2016 @ 12:51 pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers responded to a local business on Front St. in regards to an individual passed out in front the business. Officers arrived and made contact with Javier Santos. Officers noticed that Santos had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath and person. Santos was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Dean Darby, 26 years of age, Address- Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/26/2016 @ 9:12 am.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fine
Dean Darby was transported from the Franklin Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Darby was booked and incarcerated.
Micheal Martin, 31 years of age, Address- Centerville, La. was arrested on11/26/2016 @ 9:12 am.
Charge: Warrant- Reckless Operation
Micheal Martin was transported from the Franklin Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Martin was booked and incarcerated.
Jeremy T. Coleman, 30 years of age, Address- First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/26/2016 @ 9:12 am.
Charge: Stop Sign Violation

Warrant- Failure to Pay Fine
A patrol officer observed a vehicle in the area of First and St. Clair St. fail to stop at the stop sign and fail to use a turn signal while turning on to St. Clair St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jeremy Coleman was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Coleman's driver's license was under suspension. Coleman also held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Coleman was placed under arrest and transported the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Nicholas Garcia, 29 years of age, Address- Lacombe, La. was arrested on 11/27/2016 @ 1:58 am.
Charge: Remaining After Being Forbidden
Officers were dispatched to a local business on Roderick St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with Nicholas Garcia. Garcia was asked several times to leave the area because the business was now closed, Garcia refused. Garcia was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Michael Zahn, 32 years of age, Address- Filmore St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/27/2016 @ 9:48 am.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers responded to a residence on Filmore St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses. According to reports, witnesses stated that Michael Zahn had commited a battery on victim. Officers spoke to the victim and reports indicated that she stated her husband Micheal Zahn pushed and grabbed her by the arm. Officers also observed scratch on the victim's neck. Officers located Zahn on Filmore St. and placed him under arrest and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Thomas Tabor, 55 years of age, Address- Cypress St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/27/2016 @ 10:41 am.
Charge: Resisting an Officer
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Battery on a Police Officer.
Officers were responded to a residence on Egle St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to a witness, who stated that Thomas Tabor was inside breaking items inside the home. Officers made contact with Tabor in one of the bedrooms. Officers observed items used to smoke illegal narcotics in Tabor's bedroom. While officers were talking to Tabor he began to walk away. The officer grabbed Tabor and he began to pull away. Tabor was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. Once at the police department, Tabor became combative and struck one of the officers. Tabor was additionally charged with Battery on an Officer.
Nico Q. Skipper, 27 years of age, Address- Dora St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/27/2016 @ 1:07 pm.

A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 and Duke St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, who at first gave officers a false name was identified as Nico Skipper. A warrants check was done on Skipper and it was determined that he held active warrants for the 6th Ward City Court and the Morgan City Police Department. When the officer tried to place Skipper under arrest, he pulled away. The officer was able to subdue Skipper and place him under arrest. Skipper was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
