The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 11/29/2016:

Ira J. Grow Jr., 60 years of age, Address- Wythchwood Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/29/2016 @ 10:01 am. 

Charge:  Domestic Abuse Battery-Child Endangerment Law

   Officers  responded to a residence on Wytchwood Dr. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim. According to reports, the victim stated that she and Ira Grow were having verbal altercation which later turned physical.  Reports indicate that Grow pushed and grabbed the victim, while she was holding a small child. Officers located Grow inside the residence, placed him placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Lydia J. Cruz, 31 years of age, Address- Todd St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 11/29/2016 @ 4:20 pm.

Charge: Driving Under Suspension
               Tail Lamps Required
               Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense

   A patrol officer in the area of Sixth and Onstead St., observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, identified as Lydia Cruz was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Cruz's driver's license was under suspension. The officer also observed suspected marijuana on the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Cruz was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
