The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning December 27,2016

Shaun Sikes , 33 YOA, Hemlock St Morgan City,LA was arrested on 12-27-2016 @ 5:55 pm

 
Charges: Warrant-City Court of Morgan City -Domestic Abuse Battery

                 Warrant-City Court of Morgan City-False Imprisonment

On December 27,  2016 Mr. Sikes was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on warrants charging him with Domestic Abuse Battery and False Imprisonment.  Mr. Sikes was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.


Douglas Mark, 45 YOA , Utah St. Berwick,LA was arrested on 12-27-2016@7:02 pm

Charge: Warrant-FTA for 27th JDC(St. Landry Parish)

On December 27, 2016 Officers located Mr. Marks during an investigation into an intoxicated subject walking on Brashear Ave near Federal Ave.  Upon contact with Mr. Marks a warrants check was done and Mr. Marks was found to be wanted by the 27th JDC for Failure to Appear for Court.  Mr. Marks was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail for booking.

 

David Vargas, 37 YOA, Bowman St. Morgan  City,La was arrested on 12-27-2016 @ 9:41 pm

 
Charge: Simple Burglary

 
Gary Davis, 31 YOA, Hwy 182 Morgan City,LA was arrested on 12-27-2016 @ 11:37pm

Charges: Criminal Damage to Properly

                 Disturbing the Peace

On December 27, 2016 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle burglary.  While en route to the location officers learned that the suspect had been followed to a residence on Bowman St.  Officers arrived on Bowman St and located Mr. Vargas who during the investigation  admitting to taking items from the vehicle of a friend.  Vargas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail for booking.  During this time officers were called back to the Bowman St. residence due to a subject damaging Vargas' residence.  Upon arrival officers located Gary Davis at the residence, Davis was the subject who followed Vargas back to the residence.  Officers found that Davis had in fact damaged Vargas' residence at which time he was placed under arrest.  During the investigation several of the residence in that area were outside during which time Davis kept yelling profanities and had to be told several times to use profanity in public.
